*snaps* Thats right, today was Super bowl day...I almost forgot. Since no doubt my underlings at work will be talking about it tomorrow, I'd better look up and see who was playing; and who won.  #P

Green Bay Packers and Pittsburg Steelers.  Bad guys won, 31-25.  Steelers literally gave them the game (3 turnovers with 17 points off turnovers...).

That wasn't even a letter.  There's no preface.  No parting signature.  It looks like one of those dirty notes passed between two powdered wig-wearing old men at a public meeting.

The Packers definatly exploited the Steeler's mistakes, to be sure.

*snaps* Thats right, today was Super bowl day...
Oh yeah that explains why the stores were packed on Saturday.  For me this Sunday was filled with B5 DVDs and other shows from my parent's TV like Puppy Bowl, Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders show, Ghost Hunters (Dad's show), and DIY channel shows.

Well I hope those two teams had fun, I'll go watch the commercials on Youtube or something later this week.
You weren't there, in the final days of the Fanon War. You never saw what was born. But if the Forum Lock's broken, then everything's coming through! Not just the Woverines, but the Kerensky Degradations, the Horde of Taurians, the Nightmare Capellan, the Could-Have-Been-Khan with his army of Munchkins and The Geshtalts;the War turned into Hell! And that's what you've opened right into Terra! Hell is descending!

I'm reasonably content.  Both teams have more than enough Lombardi trophies in my opinion but I can tolerate Green Bay winning just because now they have the perfect screw you to say to Bret Favre.
If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics suck.

LOL...for me, Sunday was getting the taxes done, and then watching The Man with No Name trilogy, along with some other minor things...

The Packers beat the Eagles.  That makes them the bad guys.

As an Eagles fan, I think we need to be honest - they beat themselves.

It's a good thing we're handling the championship with such class. I was worried someone might act foolish in their gloating or something like that.

I should have known better than to worry though.

I gamed Friday night, Battletech and Gamma World double feature. Was there another game this weekend that I missed?

Woot!?
Even I over here in far Germany had an all-night party just for Superbowl.. ;)
Oh well.. it was me, some bottles of beer and lots of potato chips.. :)

But you're right... if Roethlisberger's long bombs wouldn't have had the accuracy of V2's,
the Steelers might've even won. But that's the game...

As a rabid NFL fan, this was the first SuperBowl I missed since... well, as far back as I can remember.  I took a stance this year that I wouldn't support Vick or Roethlisberger, which meant not watching any Eagles or Steelers games.  I'm a Giants fan, so that cuts out at least two great games every year.  I live in Ohio, so that cuts out four televised games every year.  Then both teams did well and one of them ended up in the SuperBowl.  True to my word, I didn't watch either in the playoffs and I found other things to do on SuperBowl Sunday.

In some ways I feel like the two degenerate QBs ruined what should've been a lot of fun for me this year, but in other ways I'm glad I stuck to my convictions.  I'm likely to do the same thing next year.

I was effectively playing a variant of Frogger, dodging Houston traffic on my way home from a weekend trip to Galveston/Webster.

Only tangentially related to the subject of the thread, but connecting Superbowl and Battletech; when I was watching the halftime show, it struck me that Slash looks a lot like the guy on the 8th Lyran Regulars (Mad Hatters) insignia.  Coincidence?
