(Answered) [BF] TMMs by unit, or by element?
« on: 24 July 2012, 10:29:55 »
In a Battleforce Unit, do all of the Elements of that Unit share the same Target Movement Modifier(presumably based on the slowest Element in the Unit), or is the TMM unique for each Element?

For example, a Unit containing both a Grand Titan with MV=4 and a Griffin with MV=5j. Would both of these 'mechs have a TMM of +1 from the Grand Titan's slower movement, or would the Griffin get its own TMM of +3 based off of the 5j movement profile, even though it will never use all of that movement as long as it is in the same Unit as the Grand Titan?

Thanks!

By Element.
Elements are targeted, not units, in BattleForce.  So whenever BattleForce references the target's movement modifier, it is refering to an Element.
Strategic Operations p225.  "Valid targets are other Elements, buildings (and other structures such as bridges), hexes and woods."

Target Movement Modifier is always its available MP, MP expended are irrelevant.  Strategic Operations p227 the footnote attached to the Target Movement Modifier table.
