According to House Liao (The Capellan Confederation) on page 8, within Elias Liao's lifetime Cynthiana became a major supplier of various animals and processed meat to local star systems such as Zion, Zurich and Genoa. Based on the date of Elias' death, that would have been by 2202. There's also a story on page 10 about a landowner from Genoa meeting with Victor Liao, recorded in a book published in 2208. Both of those details indicate that Genoa was a colony world during the early exodus era.

The map on Handbook: House Marik page 16 also shows Genoa as an inhabited world in 2271.

However, the version of Dark Age Republic Worlds (3130) that was available for download from the previous site has a detailed entry on Genoa, and states that it was colonised by settlers from Italy in 2300, and became a Liao Protectorate in 2315. I'm not sure which came first, Dark Age Worlds or Handbook: House Marik, but Dark Age Worlds appears to be conflicting with the other two sources.

Was Genoa perhaps colonised twice? I know that some colonies didn't survive after the Demarcation Declaration, so Genoa's population could've died off and then the world could've been re-colonised by those Italian settlers mentioned. Alternatively, are some of the sources incorrect?

It's more interesting than optimal, and therefore better. O0 - Weirdo

Genoa was settled in 2175, as the 115th colony.

Thank you :)

... any chance you'd be willing to share which the preceding 114 colonies settled were?
