TRO 3058 Upgrade Cover
« on: 19 February 2011, 12:18:06 »
I have no idea if this is the official cover. All I can say is the eye candy just keeps getting tastier.  [drool]

It's the cover in the CGL sell sheet, so I think it's safe to say it's the real deal.

Wait, don't we already have a TRO3058U w/ BA in it ?????????

This is a new print run.
Then spoke our master huntsman, "Oh I will have my chase, and if only the Devil himself come by we'd run him such a race." Then up there sprung, like lightning, a fox right out of his hole. His fur was the color of the starless night, and his eyes like burning coal.

Looks awesome but I think I'll skip a 3060 reprint would be worth it or a 3067 but not 58 for a second time.

Love that artwork though

Yup, with the bad-ass Helios (and who ever thought I'd write those words?), but 3058U hasn't had a Catalyst print run yet. Thus the new cover - rather than reuse the original 3058 art yet again, why not "upgrade" the cover along with the rebranding? Personally, that was what disappointed me the most about the first 3058U - I never liked that Bushwacker piece, and seeing it used again when all the other Upgrades got new covers kept me from buying it in DTF.

So, with 3058U, all that's left to reprint for Catalyst are 3055U and 3067. Well, okay, maybe 3057R, but it's no secret that it needs a cover-to-cover review and repair.

The new covers actually have me tempted to pick up the reprints of 3058U and 3060 - But I did like the Bushwacker cover on the original 3058/U

I'd love a new edition of 3057r with new stats and cover art.  For some reason, the Leviathan art has never seemed even remotely threatening to me.  I don't know if you can make what looks for all the world like a "Dorm in SPAAACE!" appear menacing or if you'd need to pick a new poster child.

I hope the 3058 upgrades keep the original cover with the Bushwacker.  What the heck are those battlemechs on the  upgrades front cover? Ugly looking.

Think the one in the foreground is an Enfield.

And the one on the right looks like an Emperor.

Know it is correct for the latter; the former appears correct as well.

Definitely like it. If I didn't already have 58U, I'd pick it up. It looks a lot nicer than the Bushwacker.

I think the Bushwacker cover is a great cover and is one of the best of the original FASA TRO covers but I would be lying if I said this wasn't a 100% improvment on the  :o [rockon] factor!

I really do love that artwork though. Great job.  O0

Per the sellsheet, it's exactly the same, just with a new cover and incorporating errata.

Smexy. I'll probably just make that my background though, I have two 3058s somewhere.

I'll probably pick up a copy.  As someone who was out of the game for a while, I really appreciate Catalyst bringing back what I missed a chance at in print and giving fresh faces to the game their first taste.  At the same time, I can understand how people who have stuck with the game through FASA and FanPro would rather see something fresh to them.

Cheers,
