Just thought I'd ask for a status update on the Tonbo. Really any update on the 10/15 releases would be great. Seems like they've been bumped as I don't see them in stores yet.

Updated Release Schedule, October 15th new releases are moved to the 29th, with one change, the Tonbo removed from Distribution. Tonbo will be a Online Exclusive on the webstore in the coming month.

This makes me extremely sad, even if it makes sense. My direct IWM orders are extremely rare, while I can pick up a general distribution mini at the store on a whim. This means that, much like all the other online-only minis I want, it will likely be an extremely long time before I can get a Tonbo.

Hmm I guess this makes more of a reason to start a quarterly group online purchase.

I organize one in Germany once a year. But we ordered 10 days ago, so I will only be able to pick up a Tonbo next year after Con season :(

It probably comes down to the Tonbo being a very niche design and not something a lot of people would buy. Then again you could always do what I used to do and have my brick and mortar order straight from IWM for those Online Exclusives, I usually throw a few bucks there way for doing so.

I have exactly one FLGS here. That's where I buy my paints, but if you mention Battletech to them, all you get are looks that remind you of zombies.
Which means I usually order directly from Ulisses Spiele (German license holder), but they don't offer online exclusives (have asked them to do that multiple times, but so far, they refuse to add them to their store).
But on the positive side, this means we could throw almost $400 directly at IWM instead of giving a big part of it to a reseller. :)

When it goes for sale it will be up permanently on the webstore.

FYI, between having just missed some spares that I realised at the last second I was missing, and my baby coming out too late for us to have ordered, another non-scheduled order will be in store sometime before year's end. If you and your people want in on it (no matter how small the request), be my guest :)

Oh they don't care a wit, but I spend a lot of money at times, and they don't want to see me go elsewhere or buy online. They care about my money and keeping me buying from them.

Like I said...yours cares more than mine does. Unless you're buying or selling comics, and doing so online, Lone Star doesn't give a damn about you. I honestly think their physical stores are strictly a habit thing at this point. An odd attitude, given that they became a chain that has systematically pushed out almost every other comics/gamig store for a 100-mile radius.

When it got bumped from the distribution release schedule that moved its priority and release date. Considering the number of parts it might end up with a 10 part production mold on top of getting all of the parts mastered.

Honestly I can understand. Its an Online release and that will have less priority than a regular release due to money making potential. Do we have a rough estimate on the release time?

On the online exclusive list I think it is next up. I have three mechs that are done that I am going to try to have up by Monday.
