If I have the measurements correct it will be 7 feet 8 inches tall, just shy of 5 feet across, and 4 feet 5 inches long.

That is kind of enormous.  How do you plan on getting it through doors?

The doors will move for me or be destroyed. In all honesty it will have to be partially disassembled and carried through doors. I don't even know how I'm going to transport it in the first place. Anything less than a large van won't be enough.

Made a new leg cover more in line with MWO's Warhawk. I wasn't looking forward to making another round one so I decided to redo the leg covers. Suggestions?

Oh yes. Very much yes.  Wonder what scale the old BT toys were in: they had an Elemental, didn't they?

Well here it is, just a little taste of what's to come. Yeah I know Tau didn't participate in the invasion of Thule, but it didn't work with the Mechwarrior 4 opening any other way so I fudged it a bit. Looks like I'll be at Gencon all 4 days (5 days actually since I'll be there helping Northstar Games) So plenty of time to see this in person for anyone planning on attending. I'm starting to wonder if the Tesla pods guys would be interested in having this set up near them to draw crowds, not sure how much time I'll be able to spend inside the costume, most certainly not all 4 days.

Knowing that I will be working the pods I think it would be awesome if you wanted to stop by and hang out.

Does it free stand, meaning will it sit together without you in it?

I'm guessing it will total around 35 pounds, mostly in the legs since the torso is pretty well hollow.

Now we're chugging along. I've spent the day trying to figure out how i'm going to get my torso movement how I want it. I'm an artist first and foremost so of course I decided to build the thing first and figure out how it was going to work later. Going to try and have a cylinder around my torso to keep it in place and give it an axis to spin on. The other problem is that because of the height, my upper torso is connected to the costume's lower torso. Which means that in order to torso twist i'll have to able to move my arms while keep my torso straight. It's gonna be fun.....

Also, I have LEDs!

Suspenders on the torso ring with the upper part free weighted on it. Like a pair of waders one would wear to fishing trips. You brace the upper part with the suspenders, using your arms as free movement. The lower would be attached to your upper thighs and such.

Hope this might help a little...

Still pretty awesome.  Will it be done in time, though?

My criticism is simple though:  The PPC barrels.  You went MW$ version with the top one on the inside!  It looks so much better the other way!

I'm working over time on the costume. I spent from 8am to 10:30 pm today downstairs working on it. It must be done, no two ways about it! Too many people looking forward to seeing it to fail now.

I've gotten to hate the whole MW4 set of arms, I absolutely should have done the Battletech version. The blasted angled arms make me rip my hair out  :)) I must have half a bottle of gorilla glue spread between the two arm joints alone. Thank the stars for that stuff, without it this costume would be nearly impossible.

My Overlord captain is currently trying to figure out the best way to strap it down into the truck (and hope it doesn't rain on the drive in) so we can get this monster to the ball on time

You may want to invest in a good tarp or large plastic sheet as a precaution against rain.

It's...huge...not just huge, but XBAWKS HUEG. I've completed my "omnimech support structure" and am now just looking for ways to further shore it up so that there is no chance of it breaking down.
