I love the old school weapons load out! ... for fluff reasons I'd be ok with LMG's too.

btw, what's PP-RL-10 v. RL-10? (time period? but same stats?)

Best I can do with Tech B for those is the Heavy Rifle.

Basically, a primitive Rocket Launcher.  Quote from Sarna.net

Quote
Early Terran Alliance and later technology deprived Pentagon Powers produced a different versions of the Rocket Launcher 10 with cruder technology base.
RL-PP Version of the RL-10: Only difference from Standard Launcher is that -1 Cluster/Missile Table with minimum of result of 2.[1]
P-RL Version of the RL-10: Same rules apply to the Primitive Rocket Launcher 15 developed by the Terran Alliance. This weapon was employed by warring Terra Alliance political powers attempt seize power of crumbled central government.[2]

I'd like to note here that I checked the errata for TechManual, and they took away anything above BAR 5 for Tech B support vehicles and made BAR 5 require the Armored Chassis modification.      >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

*looks at BAR 8 armor on battleship*     ::)

Yeah, no.  I'm ignoring that bit of errata.    >:D

Well, just remember, the chassis, armor and engine for the Block III refit are still Tech B, but the AC/2 and AC/5 emplacements make it Tech C overall.

Keep your armor, simply make it tech C and call it advanced (for the time period).  I think some Mech Mortars would be acceptable too.

this is why we need a RL version of a torpedo ... say a TL-5, 1 ton, range 1-15, same drawbacks as reg RL's.

And that would defeat the purpose of having a fully tech rating B military.  I want it like this because these guys aren't advanced enough to make the Tech C stuff for the most part.

At 21,000 tons is this a Pocket Battleship or a Battle Cruiser?

well, now you're just being difficult!  ;)

Keep it BAR-5 then ... It might showcase the overall fragility of real world ships.  "It's Unsinkable" has been the hallmark of many famous ships from the past century (ouch, that hurts ... It's kinda weird having 2/3 of your life in the previous century).

It might encourage them to spend heavily in protection vessels too ... 20-50 ton patrol boats, etc.

how much would the armored chassis cost you in weight? ... would reducing a few weapons and some armor compensate?

This ship already has the Armored Chassis mod, if that is what you are talking about.

ok, then slight brain malfunction ... if you have the armored chassis mod you should be able to get to BAR-8 right?

I'd like to note here that I checked the errata for TechManual, and they took away anything above BAR 5 for Tech B support vehicles and made BAR 5 require the Armored Chassis modification.      >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Yeah, no.  I'm ignoring that bit of errata.    >:D

as long as you have the mod, you can get higher ratings (according to the chart) right? (or am I missing something really simple here ... which there's a pretty good chance of)
