TRO Shadows of War
« on: 08 July 2013, 15:00:08 »
Hello! With the help of several friends I made a TRO in Spanish. The Shadows of War, featuring art from Alex Iglesias, Matt Plog, Shimmering Sword, Eriance, David White and several Spanish artists, including me. I hope you like the designs!

The TRO:

An English edition would be nice. I seen some really neat design ideas in here.

I've translated a few bits and pieces of it thus far, but have been too busy to take it on full-time (and my Spanish is far too limited to do any of it quickly, hence the slow pace of my work).

Here's one full page, tho.

(Note, this was 55 in the first version that I had. In the new version available above, it's page 65.)

The stat pages are easy to read, the fluff page.... (he,he) not so much.  I mean really, torreta, what do ya think that is?  Ummm, turret? Ding, ding, ding, you got it!  There are enough Spanish loan words in English and enough Latin based words in both that finding parallels is not that difficult. Piecing it all together on the other hand is not so easy.

What are AMLA/10, Laser Pesado, Artimis IC, Ametralladora, DACM, and so on?

Laser Medio, medium laser and ligero is close enough to light to figure out, hence laser ligero is a light laser.  That leaves the only one without a clear connotation, laser pesado, as a heavy laser.
Light 'mech pilots benefit from big balls and small brains.

I can upload it somewhere if need be, I have both V1 and V2 sitting on my external drive. Anyone up for hosting the files, or should I just dropbox it?

Yup, I have a couple you're missing, but I don't have time right now to list them, etc.  Try looking here - I was going to open a new thread, but '14 was a bad year for me and '15 has been crazy so far.
