Star Colonel Josh Ward's Trinary is set up to command from the front lines. With his own Heavy Omnimech star, a Heavy Battlemech star, and a Tank Star, they are well equipped to lead their cluster from the heat of battle. Currently, Josh is piloting a salvaged Savage Wolf Omnimech, replacing the Warwolf he lost in recent combat. He has configured the Savage Wolf to resemble the Warwolf Alpha config, but he still does not feel at home in the mech. Temporarily rounding out his star is Casta Wolf, a mechwarrior born of the wolf clan, captured by Clan Jade Falcon, and recovered by Rho Galaxy. Though Casta prefers to pilot a Lobo, there have been none available since his recovery. He is making do nicely in a Grand Summoner. He yearns for a chance to lead his own trinary once again, and will likely be transferred out of the 15th, to another unit where he can do so as time goes on. For now, he assists the star colonel and his forces.

Star Commander Jeff Sradac's star is a solid one, but despite the performance of the Sun Cobra battlemechs on his team, he does wish that he could procure heavier mechs for his Star. Born an Elemental, Jeff makes almost a comical sight, crammed into the cockpit of his mech, but the technicians have enlarged it as much as they can for him. His star may take a good deal of damage, but they are tough, and their mechs easy to repair. Though lacking the flexibility that Omnimechs would provide, the star is still quite versatile and potent.

After combat took the life of Star Commander Dae, command of the Tank Star transferred temporarily to Point Commander Radvan. His position as Star Commander is temporary until a proper trial can be held, and confidence in his leadership is low amongst his starmates. Unit cohesion is lacking, but a better candidate has not presented themselves. If the star deploys without another member of Rho Galaxy of Star Commander rank or higher, the enemy commander receives a temporary 1 point of Command Initiative.

Ivy's unit organization is admittedly eclectic. Her unit serves to fulfill the 15th's infantry and mobility needs, and is home to the 15th Assault's only Wulfen. She is intent on obtaining additional Wulfens, Phantoms or Dasher IIs to replace the Ice Ferrets in her star, which she feels can only barely keep up with her Wulfen. Much of the direct battle duty in this unit falls on St Cmd Clarence Kerensky's star, which is better suited to the role than the other units in the trinary.

The Maxims excel as much as mobile ECM Outposts and Specialty LRM Delivery systems as much as they do as infantry transports. Without their transports, the armored infantry would have a good deal of difficulty getting around, but together the heavy battle armor of the unit and their support vehicles have executed some excellent ambushes, particularly upon the Jade Falcons.

Katrine Kerensky's Star is a sight that harkens back to the invasion era. an effective combination of mechs, their age does nothing to diminish their usefulness. One of the most fearsome units in the 15th, Katrine and her warriors are often called upon to deal with their most troublesome foes.

Star Commander Demos' Nail's star seems to have a constantly shifting composition due to attrition and salvage. His Warwolf has remained a constant for the unit, but everything else is subject to change. Current Composition is displayed, but the Savage Wolf has seen significant damage and the technical team is currently weighing their options, whether to repair or replace the damaged XXL engine, or to replace it with a spare 375XL, rearmor in FerroF, and reclassify the mech as a funny looking timberwolf.

Newly attached to the Trinary, is the 15th Assault's first independent Aerospace Star. Organized for multirole work, the star IS tailored towards bombing runs on the part of the Scytha Point and Eisensturm point, multi-purpose assignments including escorting the bombers for the Jagatai and Ammon XR Points, and Interception/AntiInterceptor work for the Sulla Point. Prior to this, the only Aerospace Forces the 15th had to call upon, was the integrated aerospace units of it's transports and you do not want to see how irate your dropship captains become when you are constantly poaching their only dedicated protection.

Composed of two Omnimech Stars and a Vehicle star, Carns'Demos' Assault Trinary is the heaviest unit in Rho. Never content, Star Captain Carns is on the look out for chances to replace the Aesir AA vehicles in his unit with Huizipochtli AAA Tanks, Carnivore HAG tanks, or something equally heavy. He also pines for a third mech star to replace the vehicles entirely, but knows that the unit's focus prevents that from occurring. His ambitions go beyond increasing the already substaintial weight of his force, to one day leading the galaxy or dare he dream it, the clan itsself? Star Captain Demos' ambitions have surprised everyone, and exactly how he will reshape the trinary, or leave it be, is yet to be revealed.

The 15th Assault's Unit Ability is "Rapid Deployment." Any unit from the 15th Assault may begin a scenario within their walk or jump distance from the edge of the map. Units must actually 'spend' that MP as if moving in from the edge of the map (i.e. woods and rough terrain cost mp) Not much of a bonus for Martin's Tomahawk II, but quite helpful for Ivy's Wulfen.

3rd Wolf Jaegers:

Though not as high profile as the 15th Assault, the 3rd Jaegers are slated for both offensive and defensive operations. They are equipped with an eclectic mix of Omni and Battlemechs, Vehicles, and Armored Infantry. They employ both Inner Sphere and Clan Technologies, and will use just about any equipment they can obtain.

The Command Binary has recently been expanded by a transfer of a star of mechs from the 15th Assault. However, these new transfers are in rough shape and will require some time to recuperate, and for their mechs to be repaired. It is hoped that their new home within the 3rd Jaegers will give them the opportunity to get back on their feet and hone their skills in a less high pressure environment. This transfer makes Star Colonel Sender's unit the only trinary in the Jaegers.

Composed both of Clan Wolf born warriors, and wolves who returned to the fold from the exiles, the medium binary favors a balance of mobility and firepower. These Abhtaka from the exiles have integrated well with their unit, and few have questioned their loyalty. They have grown close with their fellow wolves, and are definitely seen as a part of the pack.

Composed of a higher percentage of omnimechs due to their need to transport the attached elementals, the Light Binary focuses on recon, interception and infantry delivery tasks. Due to similar compositions, they often train along side Ivy's unit from the 15th Assault.

Consisting of both infantry (armored and not) and transport assets, the Mixed Arms Group is often tapped to secure sites, or attached to other units to bolster them. Rarely do they operate purely on their own. While technically overseen by Star Captain Lenz, these stars are highly independent and are known to take the initiative themselves.

Not the most impressive of units, the security binary is useful for dealing with nonstandard threats such as civilian revolt,  and defending artillery, supply, or administrative assets. This frees up more dedicated combat forces to deal with threats better suited to them. They are also useful for battlefield cleanup, securing and capturing enemy pilots and downed machines, dragging salvage from the field, or finishing off wounded enemy machines when working in concert with their fellow wolves in the cluster. With the state of the Wolf Empire, no willing warrior can be wasted, no machine spared, and these warriors embody that war to the hilt spirit.

5th Wolf Sentinels:

A Second Line cluster, their role within Rho is to defend the gains made by the 15th and the 3rd and support them in combined operations. With other clusters prioritized for requisitions and salvage, nearly everything in the cluster is of Spheroid origin. Still, they make their mechs work for them, and have trained for flexiblity, able to operate both along traditional clan lines of honor and  to also utilize more spheroid tactics.

the 5th's command trinary is led by an interesting figure. Star Colonel Catarin's ascention took place amidst a series of Trials that were something of a circus. She herself piloted an urbanmech, and was not favored to win. Her boldness was admired, and it was assumed to be the last glorious acts of a Sohlama seeking glory. Well, glory she found, rising above all other comers and attaining command of the entire trinary. Her Atlas III, isorla from the Republic, is one of the few sources of Clan Technology in the cluster.

The Command Star's Atlases are a tribute to the Great Father and the Atlas II he piloted.

the heavy trinary are the workhorses of the cluster, mobile enough to get where they are needed, but strong enough to hold a site. they will often be assigned an area of operations where their trinary can respond to threats in several nearby locations. They worked hard to obtain mechs that were in some ways analogous to clan designs, or important to the wolves. The Raksahasa and Marauder are both reminiscent of the Timber Wolf, the Anzu similar in small ways to the Summoner, the Warhammer a distant cousin to the Hellbringer. It is their fervent hope that they could some day obtain better mechs than these, or improve the ones they own with clan technology.

The Light Trinary has a difficult job. They are not terribly well equipped, and their defensive role is an awkward job for a light pilot. They often must make efficient use of their environment, as well as coordination with artillery and air assets. When the 5th is on the offensive, they are more at home, making use of their speed for scouting tasks.

Providing self-defending Integrated Artillery support, the support trinary is home to a point of Carnivores. Star Captain Rob distinguished himself in the trials to replace the 5th's deceased star colonel. He rapidly became a favorite to win command of the cluster at the helm of an ancient Demolisher. Though he did not win command, he did catch the eye of others within the clan, and his bravado and skill were rewarded with Carnivores for his point. His ambition is to earn star or trinary of his own, oriented towards vehicular combat, and to turn over the artillery role to another. For now, they do their duty.

This trinary serves a similar purpose to that of the 3rd's security trinary, and frequently they are posted together. a rather dismal posting, it is only seen as acceptable when compared to filling and emptying newborn sibbies, or laboring in some manner of waste removal role. A mech is still a mech, no matter how marginal.

The operation to recover Charlotte Seles' star from the clutches of the Kabala Klan Killers turned out to be little more than bait for their true mission. A full heavy trinary's worth of K^3 mechs bore down upon the site as an ad-hoc trinary of wolves attempted to secure the location. An absolutely brutal battle ensued, the Karbala Klan Killers fighting like absolute demons, knowing that the Wolves would afford them no mercy. A brutal toll was extracted, and less than a star of wolf mechs was left at the end of the fight. Fortunately for the wolves, fate was kind and not a single pilot was killed, though two adders and a gargoyle, mechs that the Wolves have no real means of replacing in kind, were lost.

Notable incidents in this brutal, pitched battle include the complete obliteration of the enemy commander's Jade Hawk, an enemy operated Savage Wolf (serial numbers indicate it is a model that was sold to republic remnants forces, and somehow ended up in K3 hands) that fought longer than any of the warriors onsite had ever seen a Savage Wolf last, despite its gored open center torso armor, and a Ryoken II that survived long enough on the field to run its missile bins dry and go on a berserker spree.

The 15th Assault is in need of rest and repair, and will be returning to Deep Fields by way of Solaris. They have a good deal of repair and rebuilding to do, in order to return to the level of readiness they are ordered to maintain. Though the material cost was steep, it is something the wolves anticipate being able to recover from. The fires of battle have further tempered the warriors of the 15th, and valuable experience has been gained.

Reports from the tank crews operating adjacent to him, and from his starmate Nail, indicate that during this battle, Star Commander Jonathan Demos entered some sort of battle trance. His Warwolf moved with unusual grace as it sniped down at the melee below. When Katrine was forced to abandon her Timber Wolf, he assumed command of the overall operation and recordings indicate an unusual degree of calm in his voice. He stood resolute, dispensing unerring fire upon his foes, even as light assets from the Karbala Klan Killers attempted to disrupt his support of the unit. When the fight ended, he was once again his usual Mischevious self once again. Neither the Star Commander, nor CWF Medical Personnel could not explain the unusual behavior.

"Star Captain Katrine Kerensky!" bellowed Martin Carns "Am I misinformed, or did you flee from battle like a whipped dog?"
Katrine glared cooly at the enraged Carns, not bothering to respond as she sized up the bellowing oaf.
"Nothing to say for your self? The Kerensky line is tainted by failure, and you are a prime example! The Time Has Come, I" Martin continued to bellow until he was suddenly interrupted by an unexpected slap on the back
"Star Captain Carns! So good of you to come and congratulate us on our victory!" Jonathan Demos announced cheerfully "It is good to have our captured kin back, is it not?"
"You are interrupting" Martin spat out through grinding teeth "I do not have time for your shenangians"
"No, That is EXACTLY what you have time for. You were about to pick on one of our own while wounded? Neg, you bloodfoul, I challenge you to a Trial for your rank and trinary" Jonathan punctuated his challenge with a slap across Martin's smug face with a leather glove. Katrine idly wondered where he had come by the glove.
"You, Challenging me? Seyla. I will crush you, and then I will come for her"

***

"He has twenty five tons on you, and he has been known to make good use of it." Star Colonel Josh Ward warned Jonathan.
Jonathan merely smiled and shook his head "It would only weigh me down. I know what I am doing."
"I am just saying, we have a Tomahawk II in the Wolf Mother. It is unassigned, you could make use of it."
"We do not want anyone to say that I prevailed because of favoritism. It is no secret that Carns wants your job as well"
"You are unusually insightful today, Jonathan. Did something happen on the battlefield?"
"Just watch." Jonathan told Josh, ducking into the Warwolf's cockpit.

***

Jonathan's Warwolf advanced boldly upon the open terrain chosen for the trial. As he closed the vast distance between Martin's Tomahawk II and his own position, he opened fire on a stand of trees, clearing them from the hilltop.
"I am over here, you blind laborer. You fight like landscaping crew, surat" came the taunting voice of Carns over the communication system "You are in over your head, Demos. First I will deal with you, and then Katrine will get what is coming to her. Then, who knows? the sky is the limit once those obstacles are out of my way."
Jonathan continued to advance, and in moments, he had Martin in range "Your convictions are weak and the spirit of the wolf left you long ago, i'm just here to pick up the trash."
Though his speech showed him to be the cooler head, his weapons fire was not lacking for fury. As Carns fired, futilely into the trees that obstructed his lane of fire, Jonathan's Kingston DDS Extended Range Particle Cannon scored armor from the Tomahawk II's Right Torso, earning him first blood before Carns could even land a shot.

Furious, the Star Captain of the Assault Trinary lumbered his mech through the trees and opened fire with both of his fearsome Hyper Assault Gauss Rifles, following them up with blasts from his Extended Range Large Lasers. a pellet of nickel-uranium slugs from his first Hyper Assault Gauss pelted Jonathan in the right leg and left toso. Only one of the lasers found its mark, scoring armor off the Warwolf's left arm. Jonathan's riposte was to carve nearly a ton of armor from the Tomahawk II's left thigh with his own extended range laser.

"Surat, your arrogance will be your undoing. You cannot argue with the might of metal, and I will be sending plenty of it your way" Growled Carns over the comm as he strove forward, logy with heat.
Jonathan replied with his guns, flensing half a ton of armor from the Tomahawk II's left arm with his Particle Cannon, striking the center torso his extended range large laser, and adding insult to those injuries by spraying the center and left torsos with a barrage of ten streak long range missiles. The strikes to his center mass were too much to bear, and Martin's Tomahawk II tumbled over like a drunken tortoise, crushing an arm and a leg against the ground. Inside the sweltering cockpit, Star Captain Carns was furious as he was tossed around like a ragdoll, his growls cut short as his helmet fractured against the back of his command chair.

Jonathan taunted Carns over the communications "Feel the gravity of your failures pulling you down Martin? Down is the only direction you have left to go."
Spitting out a tooth, Martin growled back at him as he pulled the Tomahawk II to a standing postion and resumed his advance. But Jonathan was no fool, he knew the Tomahawk II was stronger in close range, and he calmly backed away, showing that he was the one who would dictate the range of this engagement. A hailstorm of rage, metal and coherent light battered the world around Jonathan, but not a single shot found its mark. Meanwhile Jonathan took careful aim and placed a careful shot from the Particle Cannon into the Tomahawk II's left torso. Another such strike there would go through the mech's armor and into its guts.

Sounding worse for the wear, Martin could not just fight the urge to continue their conversation as he strove to close with Jonathan. "You think you are winning because you take armor, quiaff? Well, I have armor. Plenty of it! And soon, I will have your head."
"Aff, Martin, is it true that they serve green tea for free after every meal in the combine?"
"The Combine? What in the names of the founders do they have to do with anything?!"
"Figure you'll have a lot to talk about with them in hell" Jonathan Smirked "I hear you like it hot, That's fortunate for you.

Martin's rage was getting the better of him. it was damn hot in his mech, and he could barely touch the arrogant worm's Warwolf. He managed to pepper it with less than half a barrage of Gauss shot, but for his trouble, he took a PPC and a Laser to his arm and center mass. He would not lose to a savashri surat like Demos! But as he swept after the lighter mech with a continued burst from both Gausses, the freebirth's laser and particle cannon opened up his center torso! His heat spiked again, and Carns knew that his reactor had been grazed by that last shot with the laser. Making it worse, his opponent's hated voice came through the com again
"...You won't even make it in the rememberance. Rest easy knowing I will"
Martin Replied with an angry bellow "I'll bury you in a shallow grave, you laborer grade failure!"
Jonathan replied by savaging Martin's gyro with manmade lightning, the azure hell arcing off the gyro housing and popping one of the Tomahawk II's heatsinks, triggering the release of a bile green burst of fog. To add literal insult to the mech's injuries, he opened the com once more
"... Your mother was a dark caste whore who subsited on surat meat. You were only created because a scientist self-copulated into an empty iron womb and like a virus you took over your host"

In his rage, Martin opened up with every gun he had, scouring the air with every ounce of hell the Tomahawk II could dispense, but his foe was more agile, more cunning, and the few shots that found him were not enough to down him. He pounded the Tomahawk II in return, His missiles battering the Tomahawk II about the head and torso, his particle cannon and pulse laser winnowing the beefy left arm to a withered limb, his other lasers further wounding the Tomahawk II's engine shielding. Unable to stay on his feet, Carns fell again and stove in a secondary monitor with his neurohelmet. His world went blank, just like the defunct screen. Had the monitor remained active, and had Star Captain Carns been conscious to read it, the loss of his life support system might have worried him.

The battle did not last long enough for it to matter. Before it could register that his foe was unconscious, Jonathan went for the throat His Warwolf opened the Tomahawk II up, with everything it had, gutting the engine, destroying a hyper assault gauss, and leaving the Tomahawk II as a pile of twisted metal for the Technicians to turn back into an Omnimech.

"Congratulations to Star Captain Jonathan Demos on his new rank." came the voice of Star Colonel Josh Ward "This trial is concluded."

Star Captain Demos' unexpected rise to command of the assault trinary has surprised everyone. No one suspected that he would ever aspire to a rank that could potentially diminish the amount of combat he sees, but what he did, he says he did for the good of the pack, and it has removed a divisive element from the 15th Assault.

With the rough shape that the 15th is in after its recent battles, they will be going offline to reorganize, train, and reshuffle. Exact plans are unknown, but there are talks of Demos trading his Warwolf to Josh Ward (thus getting him out of the Savage Wolf in which he feels less than comfortable) in return for a good deal of leeway in reorganizing his trinary. Rumor has it that Jonathan has his eyes on the Dire Wolf, to replace his Warwolf. Though the wolves are not producing the Dire Wolf any longer, rumor has it that the mechaDynamics versaLine(tm) is capable of bespoke production of such a mech, and with their new facilities going up on solaris, they may have a source for this classic design.

Martin Carns has been transferred to star command in Rho's sister galaxy, Ya Galaxy, in the Deep Fields Garrison Cluster. Though they will be on the same planet, the 15th Assault no longer has to worry about his ambitions.

With these changes in leadership, the 15th Assault's cohesiveness as a unit, and unity amongst command elements has gone up considerably. Josh Ward, Katrine Kerensky, Jonathan Demos, Ivy Conners, and Roza Tutola are all rather good friends with one another, and generally on the same page as far as far as their cluster is concerned.

With the 15th Assault going offline for reorg, the mantle, should Rho be called upon before they are fully ready, falls upon the 3rd Jaegers. Star Colonel Sender of the Jaegers welcomes the opportunity. Theoretically, though, all of Rho Galaxy is to focus upon preparation for their upcoming missions (Operation PYLON) and to leave defense of their position to Ya Galaxy's forces.

Kojak was interested in hearing Odeletta Feng's story, a Star Captain with a Bloodname, stuck managing Artillery assets.

Quote from: Wolf Empire Personnel database
Odeletta Feng
Rank: Star Captain
Decanted: 3115 (30 in 3145)
Affiliation: Clan Wolf (CWF)/Wolf Empire
Home Planet: Mortiz
Mech: Naga, Usually Prime.
-Skills-
Gunnery: 3
Piloting: 4
Artillery: 1

Mechwarrior Profile

Star Captain Feng is an odd one. She has earned a bloodname, but sits in command of something as disgraceful as an Artillery Trinary. Even amongst the wolves who see uses for such tools, Artillery is not a prestigious posting. Her story is one of uphill struggle. Early on in her combat training it became evident that she was middle of the road for conventional direct combat skills. Certainly enough to qualify her for warrior status, but never strong enough to carry her to glory. It was however noted during a practice exercise against a freeborn sibko that she showed remarkable understanding of indirect ballistic fire, when she siezed the mortar position that the freeborn sibko had been assigned, and turned its tubes against its former masters. Proud to show skill in something, Odeletta never paid much mind to artillery's stigma save for when the issue was forced.

In part, she owes her bloodname to luck. Feng is not exactly the most glamorous of Wolf bloodlines, rarely is it mentioned in the same breath as the Kerenskys, Wards or Radicks of the clan. Additionally, the name that came open, was not a particularly cherished heritage. One prior owner of the name happened to have been taken bondsman by the Republic, and forced to fight against the wolves during the distaction operation that concealed the wolves move to the location of their new empire. Harkening further back, the name once belonged to a warrior who fought in Omega Galaxy until their defection to the Hell's Horses. STILL, a bloodname IS a bloodname, and her desire to claim it did not go unopposed.

As something of an outcast due to her proficiency for Artillery, Odeletta tended to make friends amongst tankers and elementals, rather than amongst other mechwarriors. Her elemental companions had helped train her in hand to hand combat, even against their larger kind. As such, when given the choice she chose to fight many of the battles on her way to the bloodname Unaugmented. This avoided the issue of the "dishonor" of figting with Artillery. Eventually in the final rounds, the issue was finally forced, and she had to fight in a mech. She was issued not a Naga, but its ancestor, a Woodsman for the trial. She successfully argued that she should be allowed to employ artillery as it WAS a one-on-one battle and Artillery's usual problem, the possibility of involving another party, was a non-issue. Ultimately, she was able to use the artillery system to fell a large, decrepit office building in the city ruins where they fought, dropping the rubble upon her foe and ending the trial. Her final fight, she was forced to swap the Arrow launcher for a Thunderbolt 15 someone had rummaged up. Ironically, this would prove the undoing of her last opponent, whose last sight was a Thunderbolt Missile rapidly growing larger and larger as it struck the mech's faceplate.

Possession of a bloodname may have heralded a chance to pursue a more direct combat opportunity, but Odeletta actively enjoys working with artillery, and is happiest in command of a unit that others would view as punishment. She is close with the tankers under her command, AND with the corresponding Trinary in the 5th Sentinels. If she could enhance her unit, it would be with the addition of Battle Armor to her command, (perhaps some of the new artillery battle armor she has heard about?) or with the upgrading of ALL the Hueys under her command to the AAA model.

Wow, that is really cool to see; you totally surprised me with the angle you took on it. I was assuming it was a punishment for some past offense, but I really like the way you went with it, it's much more original.

Also, cool to see the showdown between Carns and Demo. Did you and Foxx play that out in MM?

Yeah, I wrote the trial up from the dialogue we did on IRC, and the Gamelog from the megamek match.

I honestly didn't see it coming, but I think earning the XP to finally buy Natural Aptitude Gunnery emboldened Foxx, and he wanted to see Demos advance. I played Carns in his Tomahawk II Prime, and the best numbers I ever managed to get on the Warwolf were 9's, more commonly 11's, and sometimes 15s. We played on a 60x60 map, and he kept his range.

It actually solves a lot of things for the unit. Josh is really happy because he'll be getting back into a Warwolf, the commanders are all on the same page, and Jon found a way to advance that didn't involve fighting Katrine or Josh. the 15th is going to be getting even bigger though, as a result. As Usual, Foxx's shenanigans are taking me in an unexpected direction. :D and Carns gets to live, though he's in a much shittier posting now. >_>

It's always interesting for me too, doing these writeups. Until I start writing or playing, I usually only have the vaguest notions of what they're like, and its through running them in battle, or writing about them, that their personality and background grow. I get forced to flesh them out. Odeletta's friendship with Tankers and Infantry, for example. I didn't even know that was coming.

It was awesome taking a Warwolf in the A config against a TomahawkII prime. p33r tomahawkII's i do not. At the start of the battle i spent a couple turns slapping some trees on a lvl2 so that later when i was falling back to keep the range, i could get behind the lvl2 and not have to fire through trees  ^-^...It worked btw  O0. The whole thing sprang from random idea i had about carns using the last battle as political ammo against Katrine (you know the wolfs eat that stuff like wheaties) then kinda snowballed from there, complete with "for this shmuck...i need no assault mech"

Since the only damage his warwolf had was some minor rear armor scatchs, he actually piloted his warwolf pretty much fresh from the previous bloody battle.

The reactor didn't even have time to cool off. Techs just slapped more missile reloads in there and tacked on a couple of backplates.

Things are starting to look a bit grim, for the 3rd Wolf Jaegers. Engaging in a series of intramural exercises with their fellow wolves on the planet Deep Fields, they have been handed a series of embarassing losses by the Deep Fields Garrison Cluster(DFGC) and the Alpha Retest Cluster(ARTC) out of Ya Galaxy, as well as the 5th Wolf Sentinels from their own Rho galaxy. Star after Star, including the recently transferred Heavy star led by Charlotte Seles, have been repeatedly trounced. The DFGC is a garrison cluster in name and equipment priority alone, and in truth, they are the better part of a frontline Falcon cluster. But the ARTC is a series of second-chance training candidates being overseen by veteran warriors, and the 5th Sentinels they lost to did not even have a scrap of clan technology to their names.

Galaxy Commander Dustin Vickers, who is in charge of the task force comprised of Rho and Ya Galaxies is pleased with the showings of his own fifth, but he is appalled with the performance of the 3rd Jaegers. Rumor has it that he is considering a massive exchange of personnel and materiel between the 3rd and the DFGC, or that Star Colonel Sender risks demotion or relocation to a far less vital posting. While every able wolf is needed, one begins to question how able these wolves are, plagued with such a string of embarassing defeats.

the 15th Assault is undergoing its re-equipping and re-organization, augmented by the techs normally assigned to the 3rd Jaegers on orders of the Galaxy Commander.

the Jaegers however, have won a few vital victories.

First, The Jaegers commander held the line in an exercise against members of the Keshik. This, bought them time to train within their ranks, at the cost of lending out their techs to the 15th.

Second, when Mechwarrior Vesna of the 15th, trialed for a trade between Star Commander Jeremy Radick of the 3rd and herself, to exchange her Ice Ferret for his Phantom. Jeremy sent her packing as a warning to the 15th, stating that though the 3rd may be experiencing a streak of bad luck, they are not dead, and will not stand for predation by their own kin. He retained his phantom.

Third, the recently transferred Charlotte Seles and her star won a simtrial to prove they were deserving of the star of Sphinx, Ryoken II and Jade Hawk mechs that had been down-converted to the Wolf Garrison models (replacing 375XL with 300 Standard). Facing Clarence Kerensky's star from the 15th in mock battle, they demonstrated that they could effectively use the mechs, and thus they were assigned to replace the damaged Tundra Wolf, Blood Reaper and Sun Cobras, which have gone back into the general pool for repairs.

As thanks for the downed mechs sent off for inspection, the supply chain was able to forward three Carnivore HAG models, and a Carnivore Second Line to replace the Aesirs in the assault star. Josh worked hard to get those Carnivores to fill out the trinary, as gratitude for Jonathan getting him back into a Warwolf. He has cautioned Jonathan against continuing Martin Carns' desire to turn the unit pure-mech, and wants to make the Carnivore Star as effective as he can for Jonathan.

With the 3rd and 15th occupied, the 5th is on-duty, helping hold the planet and supplies cached there. Much of the duty is upon Ya Galaxy, but Rho cannot sit completely idle or they would be prone to cause trouble.

An unknown number of raiders have made planetfall upon Deep Fields, and engaged the defenders in combat. No Batchall or particular grievance has been cited, but their objective appears to be the supply cache being maintained on Deep Fields.

A star of the Deep Fields Garrison Cluster enaged this unidentified enemy but was overwhelmed by the skill and number of attackers. However, as soon as trouble began (and despite their technical 'offline' status) Star Captain Ivy Conners sallied to reinforce the Defenders. Ivy and her star arrived to find the raiders reduced in number, and the garrison star completely defeated. Sprinting into the fray at top speed, Ivy and the warriors under her command rapidly put down the threat, and secured their DFGC Comrades, as well as the battlefield salvage.

Putting a damper on the 15th's unauthorized victory is the loss of two mechwarriors from the Garrison Cluster. Still, even this is not without a silver lining, for the loss of two of their own, binds the Falcon Abhtaka of the cluster closer to the clan, in their thirst for revenge.

Raids by the unknown force have continued, small independently operating groups of mechs and armor have attacked strategic caches of war material on Deep Fields. Action by the 5th Sentinels and Ya Galaxy have prevented the raids from inflicting serious losses, though several warehouses have been ignited. The fires were put out, but not before small amounts of the cached supplies were destroyed by the fires.

Near as Watch Agents and Technical Personnel can determine, though the attackers have employed equipment associated with the Republic of the Sphere, Clan Nova Cat/Spirit Cat, and mechs commonly available on the mercenary market, they do not seem to be affiliated with any of these groups. Captured personnel have not divulged anything, those we have been able to interrogate have revealed little, and most captured pilots have been terminated by means of a small explosive device implanted in the back of their skulls. Due to the surprise expressed by those who witnessed their comrades sudden termination seems to indicate that they were unaware of the devices. Medtechs have not been successful in removing the explosives without loss of life.

Whomever is launching these attacks seems more concerned with weakening Clan Wolf than strengthening themselves. They would rather see our caches burn, than remain in our hands.

Much like Ivy, Katrine Kerensky is not one who likes to sit still and wait. Unlike Ivy, she got permission before going hunting. Katrine struck at the invaders transport assets, and her successful attack in force flushed their dropships from their position, giving Wolf Aerospace assets a chance to go after them.  Katrine took both mech stars under her command, as well as the free-floating warriors attached to the Keshik, and Star Captain Nicodemus Icaza from Ya Galaxy's Deep Fields Garrison Cluster, who was itching for some payback.

The attack cost the enemy dearly. Only one mech, a Templar III piloted by their cowardly commander was able to flee the battlefield. He is being hunted by Ivy's Star as we speak. Their identity is further confused however. The force defending their dropships (Union, Leopard and Overlord dropships which could belong to anyone across the sphere) was dressed in the skeletal colors of Stone's Brigade. Almost inexplicably, amongst the machines defending their transports were two celestial series omnimechs, an Archangel and a Grigori. Post-Battle analysis indicates that the pilots did not exhibit the degree of man-machine integration that was a hallmark of the Manei Domini. Serial Numbers recovered from the wreckage indicate that these WERE vintage machines from the word of blake Jihad, and not newly produced hardware. One, the Grigori self destructed, and the Archangel was heavily butchered, including some autocannon damage that obliterated the cockpit.  What scrap remained has been rendered unusable by means of chemical antagonists, and the entire mass is being encased in plascrete and deposited in an old flooded quarry. Even more vexing is their possession of a Warwolf omnimech. This is a design that even a successful galaxy like Rho cannot obtain in sufficient number, and an enemy appears to be in possession of one? Muddying the waters further, are a number of designs including a salvaged centurion omnimech, abandoned hanse mbt and Jaegermech of unusual configuration, with origins in the federated suns.

This pastiche of near random equipment would seemingly implicate a faction like the Republic of the Sphere, but it seems unusual that they would conduct an operation in this manner. We have been raided by a force we are fairly sure was the Republic, launching some sort of spoiling attack outside of their fortress in the past. However, they fought to obtain the cached supplies rather than simply deny them to us. Furthermore, though we could not definitively identify the faction they originated with, they did not conceal their identity in such a strange and haphazard method. This is more reminiscent of the assortment of mercenaries the 15th fought alongside Clan Sea Fox.

Though Clan Wolf does not officially issue the rank of "Nova Captain" Ivy Conners devoutly wishes they did. Formally her rank IS Star Captain, and outside of Rho Galaxy she holds as much sway as any other Star Captain would. Within Rho, she still only recieves informal recognition of the rank, but others DO tend to acknowlege that she commands an above average number of troops and do her the honor of the unofficial rank. Much to Josh Ward's dismay this includes the newly appointed Star Captain Jonathan Demos, who wants to convert his trinary to a horse-style vehicle and mech nova organization.

In addition to her odd preference for titles, Ivy is known to boast that she (in her Wulfen) is the fastest thing in Rho Galaxy outside of the Aerospace Fighters. To her dismay, this also includes her starmates, whose older, slower mechs are not quite as nimble and swift as her Wulfen. Though her mech is stealthy she rarely employs the stealth armor features in combat. Ivy prefers to use the Stealth Armor for non-combat purposes, such as scouting and positioning. When she enters combat she throws off the stealth cloak, and utilizes the ECM for electronic warfare, rather than running the armor.  Ivy prefers configurations that allow her to fence, snipe and probe with her weapons. Her initial impression of the Wulfen was that though she enjoys a good sauna every now and then, she did not need a combat sauna. After getting a feel for the mech, she has warmed to its charms.

Ivy is swift outside of combat as well. a diminutive woman, (and she would have to be to be comfortable in a Wulfen's cockpit) she is quite swift on her feet and with her hands. Due to the close relationship mandated for a mech and elemental Nova, she has trained extensively both augmented and unaugmented with the elementals of Neil Shaw's half of the Nova. Ivy herself most frequently trains, works, and couples with Point Commander Jalyn and her Point of Elementals. Their Clan Medium Battle Armor Rache Variant point is almost always the one attached to Ivy's Wulfen in operations. This intimate training and bonding with the elementals paired to her star makes her a fearsome foe in an unaugmented fight. Seeing a girl petite enough to qualify as an Aerospace Phenotype led many of her more burly opponents to underestimate Ivy, and they assumed they could quickly crush her in unaugmented combat. Her possession of the Conners bloodname shows how sucessful that was for them. They would have done as well to attempt to nail a wad of fresh, hot, mech actuator grease to the wall.

Her Piloting Skills and Physical speed are not the only things fast about Ivy. Commanding her own mech star, coordinating its operations with the elementals that make up her nova, a second mech star, and then an unconventional supernova of ten maxim hovers, five wargs and five black wolves requires a sharp mind as well.Though she relies on many of her assets to operate with a high degree of autonomy, she is capable of directing the entire team as one on the rare occasion that they are deployed in full.

Due to the nature of her unit, Ivy sports fewer kill markers than her peers. Despite this, she still commands respect because of the things her unit can accomplish that other parts of the cluster cannot. She is definitely the most mobile part of the fifteenth assault, and Josh often calls upon her and her personnel to handle jobs that the others are ill suited to. Scouting may not be a glamorous job, but it can make all the difference in a dishonorable world. Striking where the enemy is not may not win glory, but it can win campaigns and Ivy's comrades recognize this and respect her for it.

Star Commander Nail was Jonathan Demos' right hand man until he began his climb up the career ladder. After Jonathan moved out from the star, Nail won his former position and took command of the star. Previously a Timber Wolf pilot, he has acclimted to the Warwolf that Rho Galaxy obtained and assigned him. Awarded to him by Dustin Vickers and Josh Ward, it is a sign that they trust him to lead the star to good things. If he continues to shine in the role, it is likely that Jonathan will sponsor him for a shot at a bloodname when the opportunity arises.

Nail is not the name he was assigned, it is a sobriquette he picked up in his sibko for two reasons. First of all, even at a young age, they found that he was tough as nails. His trainers were not gentle, and though their harsh pressure broke and disqualified many others, they found Nail stoic and implacable in the face of abuse. Secondly, resenting the stringent treatment that went above what other sibkos could expect, Nail was somewhat of a troublemaker. One trainer was fond of the old saying about pounding down the nail that stands out, and the cadet then known as Brennan had definitely stood out. Under less liberal commanders than Jonathan Demos and Katrine Kerensky, he may not have been allowed to keep such a nickname, but neither of them are the sort of person who would give him trouble over that. Katrine could care less what he answers to, so long as it does not have an unearned surname.

Even though Jonathan has moved to a different part of the cluster's organizational tree, when they are both off-duty, Jonathan Demos and Nail can frequently be found in one another's company. Initially posessing nothing in common besides a bloodhouse, they quickly found they had a knack for causing trouble together. Star Colonel Ward has learned not to leave their hands idle for too long, lest they find something to occupy themselves.

Star Commander Ritter is exactly the sort of warrior the clan had in mind when it formed the 5th Sentinels. A Solid, Loyal Wolf who may not be a Ristar, but can be relied upon to do his duty.  He is an older warrior, and in more plentiful times may have been sent to sohlama duties already, but the clan needs his sort and despite his lack of Bloodname, he still has a place on the front lines. He is unlikely to complain that the 5th sentinels are charged with similar duties to a sohlama unit, both because he is unlikely to complain about much of anything without good reason and because Rho Galaxy is still a frontline unit. He is unlikely to be nominated for a bloodname unless we start to see a dramatic shift in his performance, but he is a valued asset none the less.

Recently he managed to claim one of these "Mad Cat Mark Four Prototypes" in combat and due to the damage his Rakshasa took in obtaining it, he has switched over to the new mech. One of the few Clantech mechs in the fifth sentinels, he is being allowed to keep his isorla because of the plentiful nature of Timber Wolf and Savage Wolf parts that can be adapted to it within the Galaxy. Fortunately, it does not have the Ferro Lamellor or Extra Extra Large Engine that the production variant uses. The Rakshasa is down for repairs, and until that is straightened out, it is unlikely to be reassigned unless someone desperately needs a mech.

Star Colonel Andreus Sender knows that he is at or near the apex of his career. He finds himself in charge of a Cluster, but balks at the idea of commanding much more. He never expected that he would rise higher than Star Captain, and though he enjoys many aspects of his leadership role, he misses being directly in combat as often as he would have been in a lower rank. It weighs heavily upon him, leading the Third Jaegers. There is a great deal more responsibility than he had ever expected to shoulder and he lacks the inspiring command presence of peers of his like Dustin Vickers or Josh Ward. Isn't even an inspiring underdog story like Star Colonel Catarin. But, he does his best and tries to instil a large degree of autonomy within the warriors under his command. His Timber Wolf Omnimech is one of those hand-built on Weingarten back in the Occupation Zone. It is not the highest quality build, and  its serial number indicates that it was one of the early hand-built models, and this is likely why it barely meets specifications. Technicians estimate that if it degrades much, they may have to consign it to end-of-life service amongst the warriors of one of the Technical Administrative Clusters.

I decided that Sender was the reason that the 3rd didn't have a special ability for the cluster while the other two do. The rest kindof sprung from that.

I can see Gina as Ivy, though Gina's a few inches taller than I envision Ivy being.

Star Captain Jonathan Demos continues to be an endless source of excitement for the 15th Assault.

Intent on showing up Martin Carns and his failed ambitions, he took the five spare mechs from Rho's cache which Carns had been petitioning for, and added them to his trinary, pulling some organizational creativity to declare his star was now a Nova. Ivy of course, stood ready to back him up on this. Pilots, however, and techs to maintain the mechs, were hard to come by. Jonathan began reviewing Wolf organizational data for planets within a jump or two, and dragged Star Colonel Josh Ward into this with him. They determined that the 23rd Garrison Cluster, freeborns out of their new Empire in the well-performing Theta Galaxy, had been assigned to guard what was essentially a broken and poisoned rock named Rochelle. Reluctantly, Josh okayed Jonathan's expedition to challenge them, knowing that if he did not, Jon would insist on something crazy like going for a premier unit and their elite warriors, or going for one of the other Rho Galaxy units. It would be a good test of mettle for the native unit, and though it won them no friends, Jon did bring home techs and warriors to staff his new star.

Clan Wolf Rho Galaxy Auxillary Attachments

Type: Watch Attachment

The Watch Attachment to CWFRHO is a twenty five man star, meant to be shared with CWFYA. Leading the Watch attachment are Watch Star Commander Derek, Point Commander Sharon, Point Commander Taylor, Point Commander Roger, and Point Commander Stewart. Though All will consult on the operations of CWFRHO and CWFYA, they have been assigned to work closely with different parts of the galaxies, and have been assigned as their specialities dictate.

In addition to the overt agents of this watch attachment, it has always been believed that watch agents resided within the support segments of CWFRHO. CWFYA since it is new and lacking in support personnel, is less likely to contain such agents.

Code: [Select]
Star Commander Derek's Point:
Strength: Intelligence Operations (General), Leadership
Assigned: Cobalt Keshik
Objective: Assist Galaxy Commander Vickers as needed, coordinate other intel teams, keep CWFRHO and CWFYA informed.

Point Commander Sharon's Point:
Strength: Signals Intelligence
Assigned: 15th Assault
Objective: Provide the 15th Assault with a clear picture of the foes they will be facing as the spearhead of CWFRHO

Point Commander Taylor's point:
Strength: Commando Operations
Assigned: 3rd Jaegers
Objective: Other Than Honorable Operations to keep the enemy from employing same. Coordinate with Roger's Point.

Point Commander Roger's Point:
Strength: Human Intelligence
Assigned: 5th Sentinels
Objective: Identify threats to the 5th Sentinels and CWFRHO/CWFYA in general. Coordinate with Taylor's point.

Point Commander Stewart's Point:
Strength: Counterinsurgency
Assigned: Ya Galaxy
Objective: Vet loyalty of operatives within CWFYA and Ad-Hoc Support Staff. On call for insurgent threats task force may face.

Type: Merchant Caste Attachment

The Merchant Caste Attachment to CWFRHO is a group of twenty Master Merchants leading teams of four Merchants each. Their objectives are to manage and enhance the cache of materials that has been stage on Deep Fields and prepare it for transit. a Dedicated assignment was settled upon by Clan Command after considering the encounters and cooperative operations that CWFRHO has had with Clan Sea Fox. Many of the merchants are recent adoptions to the clan following the move to the Empire. This necessitates concessions in their handling and behaviour, they are not yet fully adjusted to the way of the clan. Priority has been given to their mission over clanliness in their actions, and so long as they accomplish the assigned goal of keeping the clan fed and supplied, oddities will be overlooked. Additionally, they will be recruiting from local personnel and assembling labor and technical teams to support their operations.

Merchant Captain: Teg
Master Merchants: Don, Pete, Betty, Megan, Joan, Lane, Roger, Peggy, Lou, Trudy, Ted, Bert, Ken, Harry, Jim, Robert, Gene, Sally, Henry

Serving CWFRHO's support needs are a number of non-warrior caste men and women.

Technical Support Section:
Head Technician: Alexandra (DTB)

Staff Levels: Good Coverage.
- 100% of Cobalt Keshik Fully Staffed
- 97% of 15th Assault Cluster Fully Staffed
- 90% of 3rd Jaegers Fully Staffed
- 100% of 5th Sentinels Fuly Staffed
- 10% of Floating Technical/Training team goal staffed.

Staff Composition: Tier II(Full Tech) and Directorial positions 100% filled by Longtime CWF personnel, 35% of Tier I(Astech) longtime CWF personnel. 65% of Tier I are Abhtaka from former FFWL States and LYRCOM planets. High Tier II and above composition due to Rho's evacuation efforts when departing CWFOZ.

Technical Support Staff Specialties:(3)
- Scavengers: Life in the former CWFOZ was not easy for any levels of the clan, and access to new production was far from guaranteed. The need for resources meant that no wreck on the battlefield was too bloodied to be ignored, if only for the value of the base metals. As such CWFRHO's Technical teams are expert scavengers and can scour the battlefield clean
- Junkyard Dogs: a high percentage of the CWFRHO technical teams are DTB, Demoted Trueborn. Many of them went through varying degrees of sibko training prior to their reassignment to technical positions. Combined with CWFRHO's fairly relaxed and liberal oversight, and the influx of freeborn native personnel who see nothing wrong with fighting to defend themselves, CWFRHO's technicians are capable of self-defense and would make for exceedingly poor hostages or targets of attack. Not for offensive use, but if attacked, even reassigned wolves still have fangs.
- Adaptable: Those Lean years in the CWFOZ were not kind to anyone who was not resourceful. As a result, no mech of any technical base goes unutilized, and CWFRHO's technical teams are as comfortable with repairing the Diesel Turbine on a modified Industrialmech, as they are repurposing a Ryoken II's Clan-built 375 Extralight Fusion Plant. Mixed Technologies do not daunt them. jury-rigged repairs, or non-standard parts do not faze them.

Medical Support Section:

Head: Scientist Quinn (DTB)

Staff Levels: Adequate Coverage. Capacity sufficient for 100% of maintenance-level and preventative care. Capacity also sufficient for treatment of roughly 33% of galaxy requiring  significant treatment, or for takeover and direction of sufficiently large native facilities to support up to 150% with assistance from CWFRHO Infantry Platoon.

Staff Composition: Master-level (Tier IV and above) staff 100% born into CWF (35%DTB). Doctor Level (Tier III) 75% born into CWF (40% DTB), Nurse Level (Tier II) 0% born into CWF (100% freeborn), Basic level (Tier I) 0% Born into Clan Wolf (100% freeborn) Science Level (Non-Tiered) 75% Born into CWF (50% DTB)

Medical Support Staff Specialties:(1)
- Heavy Scientific Support: CWFRHO's Medical Staff include a number of scientist level personnel who utilized their ability to double as medical personnel as a ticket to depart the former CWFOZ. As such, CWFRHO is capable of a high degree of elite level medical support, including the knowlege and capacity needed to perform the high-level replacement of limbs and organs, integrate systems such as EI, and deal with natural and manmade contagious threats to the Galaxy.

Labor and Logistics Section:

Head Laborer: Ralph

Staff Levels: Adequate. Higher Personnel numbers welcomed, but candidates must be vetted through attached Watch personnel before access to most jobs.

Staff Composition: 15% Born into Clan Wolf (100% of that Former Trueborns, primarily demoted Elementals), 25% born in Republic(40% of that descended from elementals), 20% Born into LyrCom, 40% Born into Former FWL.

Logistical Support Staff Specialties:(2)
- Industrialmechs: Primarily the Patron Loadermech, but including other examples as well, the Labor and Logistics section of CWFRHO makes generous use of Industrialmechs and other heavy equipment. As such, many of the staff are skilled operators of such equipment, and comfortable in the cockpits of more serious hardware as well, should they need to relocate or recover millitary equipment.
- Construction: Equipped with the Heavy Machinery and tools of the trade, many of the Logistical Staff were also construction workers before joining the clan. Logistics section employs a high degree of civilian heavy machinery in its duties and doubles as a construction crew, capable of building structures for CWFRHO and other related tasks such as manual demolition and non-combat engineering.

External Support Connections:

VEST:
Vining Engineering and Salvage Team.
Located on Solaris VII, VEST is set up to perform customization and unconventional production for Clan Wolf. With the Relocation to the Wolf Empire, the equipment once used on Weingarten to Hand-build Timber Wolf omnimechs has arrived in VEST's hands on Solaris. CWFRHO is not their only client, but is building a good relationship with the VEST Team, particularly out of Rho's fondness for the aging designs such as the Timber Wolf and Rho's reasonable proximity to Solaris.
Bonus Effect: Classic Omnimechs available as replacements.

External CWF Logistical Brigade:
Clan Wolf has placed a large quantity of war material on Deep Fields and part of CWFRHO's Duty is to defend that war material and those handling it. While not directly under CWFRHO's Command, these external logistical personnel might be persuaded to assist CWFRHO when time and manpower is available.
Bonus Effect: No logistical staff insufficiencies while on Deep Fields. (Temporary)

Deep Fields Hospitals:
CWFRHO's takeover of Deep Fields was a clean operation with no damage to civilian infrastructure. Sanctity of civilian targets such as schools and hospitals were entirely avoided and during the time since arrival, CWFRHO personnel have endeavored to build connections to local infrastructure. By sharing clan medical scientific data and training with the local hospitals, CWFRHO has both been able to recruit from their numbers and convert them to external allies. Their infrastructure augments CWFRHO while on planet.
Bonus Effect: CWFRHO has Full Coverage for medical issues while on Deep Fields.(Semi-Temporary)

A closer look at Point Commander Taylor and his Watch Operations point.

Quote from: Wolf Empire Personnel Database
In the old days, when Clan fought Clan, and honor was the rule of the day, a force of this nature was by in large unnecessary. One did not have to worry about their foes behaving dishonestly. The worst one would have to consider was the possibility of a force that had a different interpretation of what was honorable. This is not so, not in the inner sphere. Here, results often matter more than honor, and there are those who will go to any length to ensure that they get those results. Point Commander Taylor has assembled a point of operatives to make the most noble sacrifice the clan could ask of them, to forsake their honor, that others may preserve their own.

Point Commander Taylor is the freeborn son of a washed out mechwarrior phenotype and an elemental. His mother was reassigned to the technical caste, and charged with the duty of maintaining the point of elementals led by the man who would become his father. Aptitude testing revealed that a young Taylor possessed many of the qualities that would make him a good warrior, but those testing him were uncomfotable about something in his nature, in his mindset. He grasped the nature of fighting quite well, he was ferocious in a fight, but he did not seem to have the proper respect for traditions or matters of honor. This bothered his handlers and a demotion to labor caste was in the works, when a data-trap in the trainers computers was triggered. The Wolf Clan Watch took custody of Taylor and finished his training. Under rigorous training, the boy thrived and received direction in the operation and use of all manner of combat, from bare hands and blades to the cockpits of mechs and aerospace fighters. He served a stint as an astech, learning how these things are held together and to know better how to take them apart. He was given access to contraband data and books, allowed to learn things the clan sternly disapproved of. His un-clanlike attitudes were not hammered out of him, but sheltered. He was taught how to hide them and channel them into his work. He apprenticed under other watch agents, reviewing their past missions, soon joining them in their work.

He is a tool crafted for precisely this manner of work. He thinks not of his own honor. He has no qualms infiltrating an enemy hangar and forcing them to pare down their bid to ensure an even match for his comrades. He has experience in numerous fields of nonstandard warfare. He has worked with demolitions and construction crews and studied captured training materials intended to inform agents how to sabotage and sap, that he may more easily spot and counteract these measures. He is conversant in the use of numerous tools of battle. Once promoted to command his own Watch Point, he was given leave to cultivate a team as he saw fit. Drawing from all levels of clan society from sohlama warriors to technicians and scientists, they all received training similar to his, at his direction.

Equipment:

Taylor's point is equipped with a set of Kobold IIc battle armor, imported from the Ghost Bear Dominion. With its Stealth armor, ECM suite, high vtol/jump capacity, armored glove manipulators and diverse array of offensive options, the suit is quite well suited to the manner of work Taylor and his men do. Whether using the suits VTOL Capacity and gloves to remove and disarm explosives from the underside of a sapped bridge, or taking the quick way up and getting the drop on the apartment of an anti-clan resistance cell, the Kobolds may not be a Stand-and-Fight battle armor, but they are excellent at the jobs that Taylor is trained to do.

They also make use of a diverse array of infantry arms, though the Mauser IIc is popular as an attachment when utilizing battle armor. Aside from those Mausers, they tend to rely on whatever is locally available and best suits their mission. They are also known to make use of other equipment, battle armor, combat vehicles, civilian gear as-necessary tailored to the mission's demands.

Well, there were a few attacks that are suspected to originate from inside the fortress, but for the most part, the trapped-outside-the-fortress republic remnants don't seem to want to invite the trouble by going on the offense. TBH, I didn't anticipate this long hiatus before ilClan, and I've been ready to move along for the better part of a year, but I know if I go blindly ahead and blatantly contradict canon when it IS revealed, I'm going to hate myself and have to come back, do it over again.
