(Answered) Space Mines Battle Values
« on: 11 November 2013, 15:09:05 »
I'm a little confused on the BV of space mines, since they're based on the point value of the minefield.  Also, the maximum BV of ammunition is based on the BV of the launcher, so do Screen Launchers with space mine ammo have an offensive BV too?

Anyhow, I'm thinking that the mines probably have a BV of 5 each, and the launchers 10?

Please remember page numbers in the future please.

Space mines have a BV of 5 per 5 points of damage.  Standard launchers fire 5 damage minefields, so a mine has a BV of 5.

Tactical Operations page 383:  Mine Dispenser: BV is equal to a 10 point minefield of the appropriate type of mine.  This means a screen launcher loaded with standard space mines has a BV of 10.

Since the mines are the real weapon in this case, their BV should not stop once they reach the launcher's BV. They are the exception to the normal rule.
