Just to respond to a post I missed in the last thread: I greatly prefer PDF's, but I will buy physical on occasion if it is an early release like 2SW at Origins, or occasionally if I really like the art in a book. I also tend to pick up a copy of core rulebooks, eventually, if I find them useful enough. For example, I've got physical copies of the AS rulebook and Companion, and TW/TO/TM, but I never really use SO or IO that much, so I only have them in PDF. I don't actually USE the physical copies all that much, but I keep them around as a sort of archive copy.

Beyond that, my collection is largely digital, and I prefer it that way.

3039, 3050, 3058, 3075 and a couple from sourcebooks.basically pre-Clan invasion as far as the chassis, but because of where the entries are sourced it covers anywhere from Age of War through Jihad.

Which is fine, since in-universe the book is literally a compilation.

I hope that the compilation uses 3050 Evans' art and not the horrendous, original art from 3025

Much as I respect Mr. Loose, I've got to agree. It won't be a deal-breaker if it's the original art, but I'd much rather see the newer art used.

I'm a fan of Evans but most of his 3050 art has mechs crushing Elementals which makes no sense for a succession war book. I would look at TRO 3039.

The Second Succession War has begun!

Thank goodness.  It's about time.

Now who wants to volunteer to do my contracting work for me so I can sit down and read this cover to cover over the next few days???

Nope.
And it's now Technical Readout: Succession Wars, because the title was too long. :)

TRO: Succession Wars is catchy and descriptive.

Will it be available in dead-tree-format? If it will be, i might make an exception to my usual "only PDF TROs". Just because.

That is correct. Technical Readout: Star League & Succession Wars. A 'Mech-only compilation. More for newer players, it's 95% reprinted material. I will make a PDF available, with a ginormous disclaimer. There are 90 reprinted entries (including new classic art for some), and new art/entries for the Flea, Galahad and Banshee, and a new introduction.

That sounds rather cool. Something I'll have to consider getting after I get Second Succession War.

Since it's a new thread, any comment on what the delays are on TRO's Golden Century and IrregularTech? Is it a 'We are waiting on someone to finish step X' type of situation, or more of a 'It's ready to move to step Y...but so are three other things that are ahead of it' situation?

Also, is there a plan to release a product with record sheets for the 3150 NTNU units? I know that I've wanted those, but I don't think such a thing was ever on the coming releases page, and I don't recall if there was ever any official (or even semi-official) response saying whether a product was actually planned to provide record sheets for those units.

Thanks again for your efforts on getting information out on this forum.

Interesting announcement . . . since I do not have 3025, 2750, or 3039 it will be interesting to pick up.

I believe it's as follows:
A = Infantry/Artillery
B = Primitive Tanks
C = Primitive 'Mechs
D = Standard 'Mechs/Tanks
E = Star League / Inner Sphere Renaissance level
F = Clan tech level

I think C corresponds to 21st century tech at times, so not quite even primitive 'Mechs.
I'd imagine the tech levels aren't really hard and fast rules. Like, all Clan-tech is labeled as F even when it doesn't really make any sense.

Some late Spheroid inventions are also F-class. For example: Direct Tactical Analysis Control (DTAC) System, IS XXL engines and some RISC tech items, per Interstellar Operations.

It is only six grades, so they are quite wide grades of technological development.

ISAW A-F levels in the chart do not match up with ATOW/TW tech levels.
