OverviewThe Pucará is a mystery inside a conspiracy. With the name of a type of South-American fortification from Old Terra, and produced by a nation build on a neo-Roman style, this new aerospace fighter from Hadrian Aerospace, a new division of Hadrian Mechanized Industries, shows, aside some examples of modern technologies, a design idea similar to the Transit and Lightning.
Capacities With a frame 10 tons heavier tan the mentioned models, the Pucará carries one of the new Lyran Light Fusion Engines, and it is armed with a massive Defiance 'Mech Hunter Autocannon and two Telos Thundershot Thunderbolt-5 launchers, a type of experimental missile rack only saw in the Solaris VII dueling arenas to this day. Seventeen tons of ferro-aluminium armor protected the frame, and huge production effort for this peripheric Company, mostly around the nose and around the cockpit, and improving it a Guardian ECM suite was added to the Comms system. The only Aquiles´s Heel in this new sky-beast of a fighter is its short fly endurance, with only 3 tons of reaction fuel.
DeploymentRecently deployed in the Marian Hegemony Armed Forces, the Pucará is mainly seen among the new Alae in the Illyrian and Lothian provinces, but some planes already been seen in the hand of merc units considered loyal to the hegemony, like the Dragonslayers or the Buri Raiders.
VariantsThere are no reported variants to this fighter, but some rumors talks about some possible deeper deals with the Commonwealth, that can even involve Heavy Gauss Rifles.
Notable PilotsCommander Yanko Badi
Commander Badi is one of the Squadron leaders in the Buri Raiders, a privateer unit currently in a long-term contract with General O´Hara. Known for being undisciplined and bordering in piracy, the Buri raiders have a long history of creativeness and pushing their fighters to the limit, and with the Pucará this had not been the exception, with Commander Badi reaching performances and maneuvers that not even Hadrian´s engineers could not believe possible.
