Periphery mech designs
« on: 14 November 2017, 18:07:04 »
Can I get some assistance with Periphery based designs?

What I mean is official designs that periphery states designed, including Amaris designs.

If you got a list or a link I would be in your debt.

Thanks

That's debatable, but let's face it; some folks gave them a pass because they were big and claimed to be Scottish.

Designed, as opposed to just built? And any particular era?

There's also the Agrotera and Ebony, and various Penthesileas.

A couple of the later Anubises indicate that they're developed by the Magistracy rather than the Capellans (3MC and 5Y).

There's the Deep Lord MilitiaMech and the Scavenger SalvageMech and MilitiaMech, and the Vampyr.

I also want to say one of the Koschei's was developed by the Magistracy, but can't recall off hand.

Edit
Oh, and the 3MC Banshee was presumably designed by them as well. Not sure if it counts

Designed and considered periphery state mechs.

The reason I'm doing this, in a campaign I played in for years, the PCs did some interesting things, and in return they are turning 5 designs from each house into an omni.

Periphery is the one giving me fits

Thanks!!!!!

Go with a 55-tonner as the Wolverine, Griffin and shadow Hawk were all built in Periph at one time or another

Shadowhawk in the MOC and Griffin in the TC.
Not sure if Wolverines are still being produced in the former RWR.

I don't see the Brigand mentioned yet.

Merlin was the original "Periphery" mech from 3025.

Pretty much all the "unseen" are produced in 1 periphery realm or another.

If I had to pick 5..........

Assault - Rampage
Heavy - Merlin
Medium - ShadowHawk & Phoenix
Light - Brigand

That gives you a nice combo of general purpose mobility with a big boy for breaking down the doors.
Perfect for Omnification.

For heavy I would prefer the Hound . . . its solid multi-role trooper . . .

Quick question . . . so the Toro & Dervish on Filtvelt production lines get updated to standard mechs as time goes on from the Jihad.  Toro is easy, you make the A-6 which fits with what Filtvelt can produce.  The Dervish . . . well, it has a LOT of options.  Does it go to the 6 series?  Or a 6 series improved, like (Turner) or -6Mr?  I would be surprised to see it go with a 7, 8 or 9 series.

Given it's presence on periphery RATs (With all the usual discliamers) I figure it's an out the door version of the 6Mr.

Probably, I was not looking at the RATs . . . forgot I had the ER/FM3145 books on my kindle, lol.

IIRC Filtvelt trades with Randis (Hound for Hawkwolves), it gives the Filtvelt forces some interesting choices for facing the Dracs as they come to the rescue- Hawkwolves, Hounds, Dervishes, Toros and then decent med vehicles.
