NSR-10J Nightstar

A rather simple take on a Nightstar. Designed for maximum firepower in a small amount of time, it's armament has changed more than a bit.

The change to a Light engine has made it more survivable, and coupling that with CASE it can keep going. The major problem though is if it takes a hit in its ammo it does lose the other RAC due to no ammunition.

Hmm... I'd say you should drop some ammo, change to a compact gyro, and upgrade to LFF armor to get a secong CASE and a LPPC.

A bit less endurance, but better firepower and arguably better survivability:

I agree your version is nice and has better optimization and survivability, though I tried to stay with the MWO way of making mechs and keeping to hardpoints. Your version would be a later upgrade of the one I did, which was hastily put together with some movement of the ammo bin, though it really doesn't matter much, as CASE II was experimental when my version came out and not in widespread use.

A Dark Ages version I would do would drop some ammo, add an AMS, either regular or Laser, and CASE II to the torso with all that ammo, though not 100% sure.

I do like your version though, don't get me wrong, but I want to try and stay true to the way MWO does things, which is strange at times, but realistic in others.

Where does the small laser in the original sit? Might be able to put the LPPC there, and move the HPPC back to the RT. :)

The head sadly enough makes things rather tough.

Now with standard engine, even tougher! And the head laser is a 3rd MPL, so it hits even harder at short range! And just the make the enemy even more miserable it packs an ECM! ;D
