That is the trade we made?  No wonder the clan's backside was hurting.   >:(

I would reave everybody associated with that trade, kill their offspring, and burn down their favorite eating establishments.

There better be a few million tons of hardware going to the Ravens along with those ships.

I don't think that the warship trade was necessarily bad.  The Potemkins are armed transports and not ships-of-the-line.  They are not risked in battle if it can be avoided.  Their purpose was to get as many Raven personnel and equiptment to the Inner Sphere as possible.  Now that they've done that, they are not really needed in the numbers that we had.  I certainly would have liked something bigger than three destroyers and a corvette, but we did get one of the best battleships ever built.  And the Foxes didn't have anything more substantial than a Soyuz anyway.  I just hope we got good trading concessions for the trade.

I will argue this again and again :P Clan Snow Raven wound up with the Potemkins because of several factors, only one of them being the transportation issues, if that were the case we would have only needed two to begin with and focus on getting some Black Lions out of those caches way back when, the Potemkins were more versatile than mere transports. I've put them up against Nightlords before and said, "Sorry Diamond Shark Player" because there wasn't enough of the Nightlord left to salvage for anything other than scrap. They have comparable armor to each other, but the Potemkin has a much harder bite especially when you consider that their escorts are Drop ships with ECM as well. We had 7 of these ships and one of the smallest toumans, we definately liked our combat. ;)

This trade was definitely NOT worth it. The Nightlord is okay, the Fredasa has it's use, but the Essexs are crap. Sure it's good compared to other destroyers, but compared to what we're giving up? It's got half the firepower and 1/10 the the armor! One Potemkin would take out two of them in no time and the Fredasa to boot :P Two Potemkins for all those ships would have been good. But we basically threw away a Potemkin and Volga in this deal.

Clan Sea Fox needed those for their trade ships. But Clan Snow Raven needed out of the Home Worlds fast and I don't think they did all of it on their own.

No, they did it by trading with the Blood Spirits for a bunch of Jumpships that got ambushed on Ghent :P

Granted, I can see them making the deal, but as Meow said, not without other compensation being involved or a REALLY bad showing in the trail of negotiation :P

half that would have been a better trade, and I'd dought the Shark/foxx would be giving decent trade-rates,,,  :o or anuff' equipment to re-arm the 5 alliance air-wings(soon to be alliance Air-Galaxys)

In FM:85 they mentioned that our transportaion to be stagering, now I'm not so sure, and wasn't the Eden Rose star sittin' above Dante with mobile Factorys on em?Did we finally land those moblies on the surface and say"Well,we're here now folks".Oh,by the way,the Foxes most likely turn em into these arc-ships I keep hearing of.

Sad? This is a term we use to describe the Falcons ability to dance! Not something for a Raven Warrior to feel.

Question:

The CBT MUL states the Dark Age is the period of 3131 - 3199, but the New Era doesn't start until 3145, what is the in between time referred to?

3085-3130 is considered the Republic Era, I think.

We do not have enough information for the 3200-3245 (if you typoed the 3145) time period to make any determination about what it could be called.

Edit: Actually looking at the MUL it looks like it is somewhat in flux, as I see the dark ages lasting from 3131-3999.

I think you mis-quote me,or mis-read.I feel nothing for our foes and such,,,but the Clan lossing men & meterial is truthfully,,,well "sad".Kinda like the last time I played on the table top,a very good discription of my performance.

It is too quiet, so let us take a look at what Raven units on the RATs in ER:3145 that have not yet been published:
- Jaguar 35 ton light battlemech
- Skanda 35 ton combat vehicle
- Constable battle armor

So, whose designs are those? Falcon, Bear and Bear?

The Sharks new toys were in TRO3145:Mercs along with the Ravens and Horses, so these are probably Falcon/Bear and Wolf.

I think the Constable was released as a Battlecorps supplemental.
BattleCorps - Righteous Fury, Sorrow of Eden, Lady of Steel, I Was Lost, Forsaken : Legacy - The Forgotten Places : Shrapnel - Scavenger's Blood : ELH Chronicles - View from the Ground : Shrapnel - It Ends in Fire, Picking the Bones

The equiptment in that TRO was for sale on the common market and would exclude designs that the Clan would want exclusively for itself.

As for the Constable, it's probably a Tauran design.  We have been trading with them.  The Jaguar is a puzzle to me, given that the Smoke Jaguars are respected by no one.

The Constable is a Light BA "Police Suit" made by the Rasalhague Dominion.  I actually posted an "improved" version I called the "Senior Constable", so you can sort of reconstruct the original Constable if you follow the link.

Was able to play this weekend :) I took a Matador on a romp of Washington DC :) It was a future version of the city on our map. :) As a proper Raven, I was opportunistic in killing my enemies :)

It is odd that they placed the Tiburon in that TRO.
