It was pointed out to me that the K-1 Dropshuttle (TRO 3057 revised pg 173) states:

The K-1 is equipped with a docking collar, allowing it to attach to a JumpShip hardpoint. Such usage is rare outside of the Clans, however. The DropShuttle is more often relegated to the same duties as other long-range shuttles.

Which seems to indicate that the small craft can be jumped either attached to a docking hardpoint, a small craft bay, or the dropshuttle bay it's name implies it should work with, which would disagree with Welshman's ruling above.

Would you guys happen have any explanation for this inconsistency?

TR-3057 predates Welshman's ruling on the collar, and thus now needs errata.

There've been several errata/retcon ideas kicking around regarding the K-1 (e.g., make it a DropShip - they can be built that small), but I don't recall seeing them in print yet. So, for now, TR:3057 is incorrect.

Correct. There is a plan to update 3057 in the future and at that time we would specifically address this.

Most likely we will just make it a 200 ton DropShip.
