Readin the Surat BAotW, i realized there's no unit mounting the BA Heavy Medium Laser. So i decided to rectify that.
Enter the Corona II. You know standard Corona, which mounts a MPL. This, this one mounts a detachable Heavy Medium Laser. Also has an APWM and a Heavy Battle Claw.
Because the suit has very slow speed and the HML has the to-hit penalty, this is an ambush suit. And to enhance that, the suit is plated with Improved Stealth armor. Only 7 points though, even less than what Corona has... can't have everything.
Is it too munchy? Might be. It hits the key Clan armor threshold and Improved Stealth is rare among the Clans. The HML has a to-hit penalty but with such massive damage... Consider, a Corona II point can do 50 damage if all lasers hit.
On the other hand, i thought this might be a Clan Hell's Horses suit who might be accepting of Stealth armor for combat BA (though i'd imagine the Clan Star Adder has done something similar in the Homeworlds...).
If this were to have some other armor, which one? Reactive Armor would be pretty damn good because it would be straight swap and reduce threat of AE weapons. Reflective would boost survival against lasers, especially useful with such a low armor for a Heavy. Fire-Resistant is good but not sure how useful it would be for a suit like this.
As for the name: The Spheroid Clans are probably aware of the Corona even though none of them field or manufacture it. But recreating a similar suit is plausible. Ultimately, the name is there due to how this looks and because i was too lazy to come up with a better name.)
