Origins Battletech Schedule

Hello Battletechers!

As I am sure you are all aware, Origins event registration goes live this Wednesday so I wanted to get out to you the line up of this year's Battletech and Casual Games at this year's Origins so you know what to look for. Note, there are some changes from previous years.

Wednesday:
Grinder: Noon to 8pm

Thursday:
Grinder: 10am to 10pm (2 hour slots)
Bootcamp: 10am to 8pm (1 hour slots)
Alpha Academy: 10am to 8pm (1 hour slots)
Feature Event: 10am to 4pm (1 large slot)
Solaris Melee Challenge: 10am to 10pm (2 hour slots)
Open Tournament: 10am to 5pm (1 large slot)
Throwback Thursday Battletech Edition: 10am to 4pm (1 large slot)
Throwback Thursday Alpha Edition: 6pm to 10pm (1 large slot)
Boardgame Zone Duke/Jarl featured: 8pm to 10pm (1 slot)

Friday:
Grinder: 10am to 10pm (2 hour slots)
Bootcamp: 10am to 8pm (1 hour slots)
Alpha Academy: 10am to 8pm (1 hour slots)
Feature Event: 10am to 4pm (1 large slot)
Solaris Melee Challenge: 10am to 10pm (2 hour slots)
Duke Tournament: 6pm to 10pm (1 large slot)
Future Friday Alpha Strike Game: 10am to 4pm (1 large slot)
Alpha Strike Tournament: 4pm to 10pm (1 large slot)
Boardgame Zone Shadowrun Boardgames and Bravest Warriors Featured: 8pm to 10pm (1 slot)

Saturday:
Grinder: 10am to 10pm (2 hour slots)
Bootcamp: 10am to 8pm (1 hour slots)
Alpha Academy: 10am to 8pm (1 hour slots)
Feature Event: 10am to 4pm (1 large slot)
Solaris Melee Challenge Finals: 4pm to 8pm (1 large slot by having one in the qualifiers only)
Shadowrun Encounters Tournament: 6pm to 10pm (1 large slot)
Alpha Strike Turning Points (linked scenarios): 10am to 10pm (2 hour slots)
Boardgame Zone Wrath of Dragons, Vikings, Valiant Featured: 8pm to 10pm (1 slot)

Sunday:
Grinder: 10am to 10pm (2 hour slots)
Bootcamp: 10am to 8pm (1 hour slots)
Alpha Academy: 10am to 8pm (1 hour slots)

Thanks for sharing! I'll be attending my first Origins convention this year, and I'm looking forward to checking out some of these events.

A question on the featured Capellan Crusades event: is it possible to play in the event one day, without committing to returning for all parts? Also, does that event generally fill up and require pre-registration? I've been monitoring the issues with the event registration system, but I can try to sign up once it's open again.

I'm glad to hear you'll be at Origins this year. I personally think it is a great con.

For Origins the Capellan Crusades is sold as one big 6 hour block on the day of the event. You don't need to sign up for multiple days though.

Right now I don't anticipate that we will sell out. Usually we have room to take generic tokens for all our events. As you said though, there have been event reg system issues so there really is no way for me to know for sure.
