I like it! Would fit well with the Freeborn elements of the Dominion who do have melee mechs (Karhu prime for example).  And the threat of a 100 tonner going BLBLBSLAIBIARAAWOOOO!! at over 100kph towards you is bloody terrifying!

Again, very nice design, the Trueborns wouldn't touch it with a barge pole but this would be perfect in the Kungs Armee Clusters

The taboo against physical attacks may be dissipating in the Dark Age, the Skinwalker has a config with a lance and several Falcon mechs have talons. But yeah, Kungsarme would definately love these.

I'd replace the SRMs with another energy weapon or ECM system. The ECM would help it get closer (Ghost Targets) and the lack of explody ammo is just for safety.

Perhaps a quad of ERML or MPL in the hands for when a particular target keeps running out of arm's reach.

Very true but I'd still say that the Bears would hold back on that as they are darn conservative.  Let the KungsArmee Clusters go off punching things, we'll hang back and shoot stuff thank you very much :D
But they also really favor personal strength and combat. What better extension of their MechWarrior's personal physical prowess than by using that skill to punch an enemy mech in the face?

True. What about an array of small lasers? Or at least CASE II with those SRMs to keep them a little safer.

The danger I see is that a lot of Clan mechs are running around with Plasma Cannons now, and since this thing likes to sit at 10-11 heat all the time, a good shot could force it to start making ammo detonation checks.

Problem is that if you don't run up to that 10 heat, you're short-changing your damage by quite a bit. If you're worried the enemy is going to run up your heat and you leave off firing that PPC, and then the enemy doesn't run up your heat...

I'm just thinking an array of micro lasers or ERSL would provide the crit-seeking while removing the danger of ammo explosion. They'd also allow the mechwarrior to more finely-tune their heat.

At the very least, could you find space for CASE II? That way even if an ammo bin explodes, it's unlikely to blow out the rest of the torso or take other components.

Aren't ghost bears the animal supposed to be really annoyingly hard to see, thus the name?  The CLPS version could work as a straight up totem mech.

Wanted to revisit this, don't remember why the II had an interface cockpit so scrapped it for a standard. Also gave it jumpjets, which necessitated downgrading the weapons package and ECM to a standard suite. But it can now fire on the move with the LPS on and fine-tune heat with either the small battery of SPLs or just turning off sinks.
