classic Shadow Hawk
« on: 19 May 2017, 14:39:00 »
i had not that much time for painting lately, so i did things a bit differently with these two mechs: less layering, but stronger edge-highlighting ...
not as smooth as usual, but it took me about one-third less time to finish these.

Wow, nicely done on the whole lance!  O0 I really like your color choice, that tan is a nice, matte shade, and that brown does wonders to underscore it! Do you mind telling us what you used?  O:-)

Quick question: the stone on your bases, is that actual pieces, or foam or something made to look like it?

I've seen stone bits like that available at hobby shops, usually by the trains at my local Hobby Town.

quick answer: shale (or slate, or whatever you call it )  :)

as sharpnel said, you should get it at your FLGS or hobby shops.

Beautiful work!   :o

I really like the subtle details and bases. O0

Shame the Shadow Hawk is as big as an Assault (or bigger). :(

Are those decals or hand-painted emblems?
