Just recently attempted to run a couple squadron fights. There are some outstanding bugs (checked and they are still active) that may create a less than optimal experience for you. I ended up having to run the massive fleet battle with individual aeros instead.
Be prepared for disappointment if you try it.
That being said, individual ships in a fleet battle still work mostly fine. I have to find something where some of the shots are not being reported all the time, so I can report the durn bug. They are still happening, just not being reported in the firing phase as actually resolved.
