Bowman BWM-4N (Archer derivitive)
« on: 27 November 2017, 14:43:45 »
A while back I got my hands on a couple of boxes of Robotech Tactics plastic models/miniatures, and love them all except the Rifleman/Defender (body is great, arms suck!).

The Tomahawk is comparable in size to my old Unseen Warhammer, as is the Phalanx to my old Unseen Longbow. The Spartan, however, is quite a bit smaller than my Unseen Archers. But it still looks cool!

So, to compensate for this and still use them without issues in the back of my mind, I present the Bowman! A newer derivative design BASED on the older Archer design.

Nice. Very much like a faster Apollo with better ranged lasers!

Looks closer to a Dervish 8D . The Dervish has the XL engine weakness but also has 5 jump Jets and a fourth ER Medium laser . Your design is good because Light Fusion Engines Rule and its cheaper . Artemis IV after 3060 tends to be wasted tonnage

Nice, seems pretty straightforward and functional.

Why do you say that?

With all of the talk of the ECM systems....they are right.  And on that note, I would almost look at dropping the Artemis altogether and swapping one of the regular LRM launchers for a Clan Streak model. It'd be an odd duck.  but very flexible.

Might just drop the Artemis-IV's, but I loathe mixed tech design simply to take advantage of Clan tech. On a one-off customized variant I'm good with it, but despite the overwhelming popularity of mixed tech production designs I personally just cannot abide them.

And yes, I know they're canon. It changes nothing... ;)

I'd stick all three MedLas in one arm, so you can torso twist and shoot someone in the face with all three if they try to backstab you.

I initially considered something similar, but decided to spread them out so they couldn't all be lost if one particular location got taken out. Too many times I've consolidated weapons only to have that spot destroyed or blown off.

Now, I diversify... ;D 8)
