Hello all,

I'm going through the BT TechManual PDF CAT 35002 2007-2013 The Topps Company, Inc. Corrected Third Printing Published by Catalyst Game Lab Industrial Equipment Table on pp. 344-345 and checking the details on pp. 239-240 the Transport Bay Table p. 239.

1. The Industrial Equipment Table p. 344-345 Mech Space Column has the entry of Variable while the Transport Bay overview, Unit Restrictions, and Table on p. 239 appear to indicate that Mechs can not carry Infantry/Battle Armor compartments/bays.

Quote
BattleMechs and ProtoMechs are the exceptions to this concept. Though rumors abound that some forces (notably the Hell’s Horses Clan) have attempted to allocate transport bay space to such units, conventional wisdom and common sense have kept such “walking APCs” to mere speculation. After all, the theory goes that one builds a BattleMech or a ProtoMech solely for the business of doing battle. Wasting weight on prepared transport bays, with the intent to haul precious cargo into a hellish crossfire, defeats the whole purpose.

Quote
Unit Restrictions: BattleMechs may only carry Standard, Liquid, or Insulated Cargo Bays; IndustrialMechs may only carry Standard, Liquid, Insulated, or Container Cargo Bays; ProtoMechs may not carry Transport Bays of any kind.

The table column under Equipment Slot Space for the Infantry/Battle Armor compartments/bays have the following entry
Quote
NA (Mech)/1 (Vehicle)
.

Can BattleMechs and/or IndustrialMechs mount Infantry/Battle Armor compartments/bays?

2. Infantry Compartment Capacity

The formula for the Infantry Compartment Capacity is Weight x 1.0 (Infantry or Battle Armor)

How many Foot Infantry personnel can be accommodated in a 1 ton Infantry Compartment?
