We're looking for a few players at...
http://www.thewreckingcrew.us/This is a game set in the battletech universe. You need to know battletech, the weapons, the mechs, the technology, the major players etc.
What the game is not, it is NOT 100% battletech.
The Unit will get a contract, we'll get missions. You'll be assigned a target. It is your job to write the orders for that target and get your company to carry out the objective. You will write fall back plans, when to pull out, how hard to fight, (long range, short range) are you burning through ammo? Are you only taking decent shots? Oh you wrote the orders, but you got an insubordinate pilot that does what he wants? Your mechs got shot out? What are you going to do to fill the ranks? Replacement mechs are 2 weeks out? Can you fulfill your next mission? Will you ask for help from Battalion? Will your battalion CO ask for help from regiment?
So this is where I say it's not 100 Battletech. There are no hexes, you can't write orders that say advance to 15 hexes out. But you sure can say advance to 450 meters out. You can't say only fire missiles if you need a 9 or less to hit. But you can say, fire if the targeting solution says you have a 50% or better chance to hit with ammunition weapons.
We play battletech, but we talk in military terms. There are a couple of house rules you can see on the board. Infantry doesn't line up to be destroyed by a large laser... Things to make the game more realistic. Looking for 3 players to start, maybe more depending on how work intensive it is this time. (We've run this before but it has been several years)
