General BattleTech Discussion / Are inferno SRMs "Intro" tech?
« Last post by babayaga on Today at 11:38:19 »
The subject says it all. Are inferno SRMs considered "Intro" tech? I'd be tempted to say no, despite the fact that inferno SRM ammunition is a fairly primitive technology that never went "extinct" even in the Inner Sphere.

Isles/Habs last night was one of the craziest games I think I've watched in at least a couple of years. Greiss let in four, but he was by far the best player on the ice for either team- he got shelled all night and stood up to some really great chances by Montreal. This one had it all- nine goals, lots of hits, some great goaltending, some very not-great goaltending (Price was very much off his game last night)... you couldn't ask for a more entertaining game.

Well, the DZC stuff available for free from their PDF site:

https://www.hawkwargames.com/pages/downloads

Is the same buildings as their products.

Nice thing is you can resize with any sort of photo-editor and then print via STAPLES or someother print company onto Cardstock for less than the original product.

I've done it, and it scales the buildings much nicer to BT Scale.

In the attached photos is some of the DZC Buildings rescaled to 6mm (from their 10mm scale), along with a Shadow hawk for scale, and a BURNIN DESIGN 6MM Apartment building for comparison. As you can see, the scale looks equal. Both the Green Building and the BURNIN Building would be 6 stories or a Level 3 building.

I haven't heard anything about that
I thought it was just bunks for Marine Commandos to be stored in as apparently they have a longer shelf life if stored horizontally rather than vertically

"THIS END UP. DO NOT BEND."

Is QE II's really using actual modules like the US LCS shjps or Danish's StanFlex modules they use?

ANN announced that coming in April, Lupin the Third's 5th series (sequel to the 4th series), Like previous series, it's set in the modern era.

I haven't watch Lupin in ages, so i didn't see 4th series. It will be interesting see him in the modern setting where things are very different from the 1970s.

damn it all i had some of these for almost 20 years....
 >:( i swear this had not been a good evening for me
Yeah, I've lost MW4:Mercs and F-14 Fleet Defender. Maybe some others. And one disk (for magnetic media, disc for optical) in Sid Meier's Civ had some damage, but game itself worked when I tried. (Almost) All other games are backed up on external hard disk drive (Sid's Civ too) and SecuROM is a bitch.

Aerospace Combat / Re: Gorgon Deck layout
« Last post by Alan Grant on Today at 11:14:14 »
On another really old thread someone just seeing the Gorgon art for the first time said it reminded them of the Exeter-class destroyer from Wing Commander.

I looked that ship up in a google image search (search words used: Exeter-class destroyer Wing Commander)  and found someone's project to make newer art for that ship. Interestingly enough, the art includes different angles and the image of the ship's rear shows a landing strip and bay entrance on the upper rear of the ship. The setup is very akin to what Shimmering Sword is describing.

I'd post the link to the art but the rules here on that are pretty strict. A google image search will bring it up among the top results though.

So she's semi-Omni, with the Primary config being more of an LPH, and the A config being a full-on CV?

Makes sense given the Royal Navy's need to do more with much less, though the main downsides I can see are reaction time(how long does it take to 'swap out pods'?) and a lack of hull redundancy(a ship in drydock costs you the use of a CV and LPH at the same time). The RN's not being given a choice in this matter though, so I guess the modularity is a smart choice.
