Harrisburg PA - Looking for players

After a long hiatus, I am looking to get a group playing Battletech in the Harrisburg, and Lebanon PA areas.

I wish I was still in the area.  Moved to Texas a few years back but, I gamed in the Harrisburg area for most of my life.

Have you found the Adventurer's Guild in Harrisburg?  Rich is the store owner and would probably be the best source of information to find out if anyone is still playing.  Jeremy (AKA "Jeep") was a long time player there and may know who to hook up with to get a game in.

Old M. Foner had a store back in an alley in Lemoyne.  He has a couple of regular Battletech enthusiast for quite some time but, they tended to like to talk about the game more than actually play it...

If your looking for some deals, Pastimes in Palmyra had a decent miniature stock but, no players.  Decent inventory, 1990's prices on many of the mini's (they haven't updated thier stock in years).  The staff there don't know much about the game and I don't believe they support gaming at the store anymore.

My information is a couple of years old now so, things may very well have changed.  I'm still in contact with some people at the Guild so, I'd recommend it as a good start.

I don't know if you would mind driving down to York, but I run my events at The Comic Store West ( www.comicstorewest.com ). I'm usually at the store almost every Friday evening and always ready for a game.
There's gonna be a convention in Lancaster in a couple of days ( http://www.classicbattletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,1567.0.html ) There will be plenty of games to be played there. Also Iron Wind and B&V Traders will be in the dealers hall for this con.

Harrisburg is a little under 2 hours from me .

I'm in Bedford PA .

That's a little far for casual gaming but I might consider it
for a vacation or something .
I've had several nibbles from surrounding counties but nothing
definitive yet .  There are other players in the region
but our schedules just keep not working out .
My schedule's pretty packed but if I get off this night shift
job I'll be looking for a game .
For now the shift combined with my wife's medical problems
has me booked .

I'm in York. Speck and I get together every once and a while. He runs events at HMGS conventions. The next one is Fall In in Lancaster in November.

Down in northern Virginia, so about a 2 hour trip.  I'd be on board for coming up a few times for some dice slinging.

I'll probably meet some of you at Lancaster for Fall In, where there's generally a room dedicated to BT games.  I'm in Reading, PA, so I could do an occasional raid (BYODS) out to Lancaster, York, or Harrisburg, but it's a bit far to go for a game on a weekly basis.

I used to run games at a comic store in the Reading area, back in the late '80s and early '90s, but that fell apart when the store stopped carrying miniatures, and then the tables got preempted by the collectible (Magic) card game players who seriously outnumbered us.  Now I'm mostly limited to MegaMek games against the 'bot at odd hours.
