I'm sorry to ask something that has already been answered, but I'd like a recheck on this errata.
PROTOMECHS
Damage (p. 185)
Second paragraph, fourth sentence
Each time a player crosses off a shaded critical hit box, the warrior takes a point of damage.
Change to:
Each time an attack forces a player to cross off one or more critical hit boxes, the warrior takes a point of damage.
{Errata 4.3, p.28 + Total Warfare, p.185}
The reason for this errata seems to be a misunderstanding caused by this post:
http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=37413.0where "shaded armor hit circles" were confused with "shaded critical hit boxes".
The problem was then pointed out in this other post:
http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=39344.msg909855#msg909855leading to the current errata wordings.
Since the original rules seem to work fine as they are, with each shaded critical hit box crossed (there are, in fact, 6 for each ProtoMech) causing a wound to the pilot, I wonder if the errata is just a big misunderstanding.
As it is now, if I get 2+ critical hits on a ProtoMech torso from a single attack (or Cluster grouping) and cross both the shaded critical hit boxes, the pilot only gets 1 wound.
If the errata is correct as it is, I beg your pardon for making you answer twice to the same question.
Thanks
