The joke called a charger, was often laughed at, even during the succession wars.

However, a Royal variant had been designed, utilising the latest technologies at the time.

This would have truly cemented its place in the record books as an assault class scout mech. An endo frame and XL engine allowed enough weight for engineers to mount 5 jump jets, and medium pulse lasers in place of its original small laser barrage. In addition room was made for an AC20, with 3 tons of ammo in a specially designed form of case that prevented the ammo from taking out the XL engine (this came to be known as CASE II).

The weapons payload was situated inside the torso so pilots could utlise the hands for close combat. Also double heatsinks were incorporated allowing the mech to handle its heat load.

One of these mechs has been built in the current era using specialised AC 20 ammo.

Not certain if it would be considered a "scout" anymore....the weaponry is deadly.  Well done.  If it were to remain a true scout, perhaps a full electronics suite in place of the AC20.  Anyway you look at it, it does fulfill many desires!  Any era you are in, an 80ton beast moving (and jumping) that fast and far with that kind of weaponry is something to be feared! 
If at first you don't succeed, make it worth the repairman's time!

Its definitely an ARMED scout lol. I wanted to fit a Guardian ECM in there or a Beagle, but couldnt find the tonnage or space, I guess you could drop the medium pulse lasers down to standard mediums and fit them in, or swap the AC20 to an LB-10X and fit the electronics in that way (heat would also be more manageable too).

hasnt got the sheer hitting power of the AC20, but it does have a bit more flexibility, and in addition to the ECM and Active Probe, TAG equipment is also installed into the centre torso.

One swap out for the 3050s could be a C3 Slave in place of the tag unit for C3 Networks.

The Gauss doesnt really fit with mission profile of getting close to the target, like the LB-10X and AC20 do.
