(Answered) Questions about crit-split weapons
« on: 26 December 2017, 05:00:02 »
Hello all, recently there was a question in our play group that nobody had an answer to.

Per pg57, under the “Step 5: Add Weapons, Ammo, and other Equipment” section, it states that all classes of AC20 and HGRs can have their criticals split between adjacent body locations but use the most restrictive firing arc.

A player wanted to split an AC20 between a torso and arm location (primarily in the torso) of a non-OmniMech. This brought up a couple questions.

1) Would that affect the ability of the arm to still have a full set of actuators (Shoulder, UA, LA, and Hand)?
2) Because of the restricted firing arc of the AC20, would that affect the firing arcs of other weapons mounted in that arm?

Thank you for your time and answers to these questions.

1) No.

2) No, only the large weapon itself.  I know that seems weird, but Total Warfare is very explicit about that (see TW p. 106).
