House Steiner/LC Sourcebooks
« on: 01 February 2018, 00:25:11 »
I've always been a fan of the Clans but with the upcoming MW5 and Battletech games it looks like I need to pick an IS faction to play with. I like the Lyran Commonwealth/House Steiner but I don't have much information on them beyond FM: Lyran Alliance. I have ordered a copy of Handbook: House Steiner. What other books should I get for reading up on House Steiner?

Usually factions don’t get solo books. You’ll have to look at the Lyran section of various plot books

House Steiner: The Lyran Commonwealth (3025)
FedCom Civil War (3062-3067)

Era Report: 2750, 3052, 3062, 3145
Field Manual: Updates, 3085, 3145
Jihad Secrets: The Blake Documents (3075)
Jihad: Final Reckoning (3082?)
First and Second Succession War

Depending on how much of a deep dive you want to go on, there are also a few Lyran-centric scenario packs from the Fasa days like Coventry that contain plot information

You bought the box set and are ready to expand your bt experience. Now what? | Modern Sourcebook Index | FASA Sourcebook Index | Print on Demand Index
Equipment Reference Cards | DIY Pilot Cards | PaperTech Mech and Vehicle Counters

The Thomas Hogarth interviews in the Jihad Hot Spot books...

The original FASA House Steiner sourcebook should be either free or cheap to find on PDF. It has some nice parts that compliment the later handbook and field manual. IIRC the handbook corrected some of the continuity issues of the FASA book.
