You knew this day would come.  :P

I'm interested in using some of my homebrew equipment and 'Mechs in MegaMek. The problem is, well, I've gone just a little crazy with non-canon tech over the past few years, as the links in my signature can attest.  #P

Basically I'm curious as to what sort of process would be needed to add, say, a new weapon (e.g. a Vehicle Grenade Launcher that's not a one-shot) or a new engine type (e.g. one that's halfway between Standard and Light) to MegaMek and MML.

Do you know Java?

The only way to currently do what you want is to make changes to the source code.

Curses. I was hoping it would be less arduous than that, even if only for the simpler weaponry.
