Cool. That should really have you making contracts and kicking teeth in. I heard the Armor troops were clamoring for some Brutus Assault tanks and thunder rounds for the LRM launcher btw.

Thanks for noticing my typo.

I am probably going to sell the Von Luckner, Highlander, Hunchback and Banshee and the other salvage that I do not want or do not have space for on the Shoho.

I am hesitant to sell off the Flashman, Avatar, Marauder-3D as I like the designs.  I am going to use one to replace SGT. Bell's Caesar after the Thirty Second meets up with the rest of the Eighty Fifth.

I am trying to have the Ninety First be all jump capable mechs.  I would like to put two GRF-1Ns and an Anvil in Gamma Lance with the Quickdraw and keep the Daikyu as a backup mech.

The captured hovertanks are going into the Fifty First Light Armor to replace the losses on Kentares.

I am probably going to sell the Highlander... I am trying to have the Ninety First be all jump capable mechs.

1) Your welkome.
2) It's your game.
3) Please don't sell this mech! Check out the chassis and engine from both IS and Clan versions before you decide on selling it. Selling an assault that jumps hurts, but if it is a desperate need of cash... I understand.

BTW, that Von Luckner is a great base defense platform and/or a very superior Infantry support item. Think about that.

You might think about replacing the Quickdraw with the Highlander.
A 3-5-3 move Highlander with a lot more firepower would be a good base for Gamma Lance.
And the Highlanders death from above is great fun. >:D

The Regulator, Harasser and both Pegasii are going to be used to rebuild First Lance in the 51st.  The Myrmidon is also going into the 51st.

The Avatar, Banshee, Flashman, Hunchback, Marauder, and the Locust are likely going to be sold to the KIV DMM.  I do want to keep the Avatar, FLS-7K and MAD-3D, but they do not have jump jets.  The Highlander I know is a really good assault mech so I am still thinking about what to do with it.

The Von Luckner will possibly go in Third Lance in the 51st, even though I do not like machines with a speed of 3/5.

The Vedette is being sold.

For the Tall Trees salvage I am selling off the Stinger.  I am not sure whether or not to sell the Wolfhound.

The support vehicles I am keeping.

Try the Bounty Hunter 3015 model upgraded to extended range, maybe even use a ER Large instead of that 3rd PPC. Stuff in a ECM suite and maybe a standard Small? You could keep the mediums standard as well... At least youd get a companion to the Highlander. Same speed and jump capabilities.

And there is a jumping Avatar, the F config. ER PPC, LB-20 and 4 JJs, with those two hardwired ML's of course.

The Raijin is a nice Medium that would fit well with your unit.
What mods are you planning for it.
With the non jump capable mechs, i would keep them as a guard for your base and for emergencies.
If you like playing with certain mechs why give them up. O0

I am getting back to writing this unit soon.

I would like to standardize my units machines.  I am looking for mostly energy based, mostly standard engines, jump jet equipped mechs with a minimum movement profile of 4/6/4.  Suggestions for me are appreciated.

I would really like to have my armor company be mostly fusion engine equipped and have mostly energy based weapons.

Black Knight, Penetrator, Grasshopper and Guillotine for heavy mechs.
Starslayer, Crab 27, and Wolverine 6M for medium mechs.
Mongoose 66, Wolfhound, Spider 7M and Firestarter FS9-S for light mechs.

For the armor, Myrmidon and Schrek for tracked designs. Drillson's for hover.

Yeah the Black Knight doesn't jump, but it's a great SFE, all energy zombie.

For assaults, can't think of any 4/6/4 SFE with all energy weapons, but the Warlord comes close, and the Thug is another zombie mech.

Also not jump capable, but may want to look at the Ostsol for another heavy mech option.

And some more light mechs -
Hermes 1S. Or some of the other variants.
Eagle 2M. Not the fastest, but it does carry TAG and all energy weapons.
Dart 4S. Carries 3 medium lasers on a fast chassis.

I had an Ostsol, it's pilot was not great so I cannot say much about it as it was not as effective as I thought it could have been.  I love the CRB series in both BT and MWO, so I might pick a few up if I can snag a contract with ComStar in the future.

The Dart is a good little speed demon.  I also like the Spectres, but they are expensive.  ECM is nice to have.

Might want to look at the Phoenix Hawk PXH-2 for a ECM carrier. It drops the MG's for ECM and extra half ton of armor, which would fit into the all energy weapons. Not sure of the cost but I'm guessing it's going to be cheaper than the Spector. Sarna.Net has the P-Hawk 2 a little cheaper BV wise.

That said, I love the Spector.

Good to see you starting back up.
The Spectre is one of my favourites, at 6,136,000 cbills it is not too bad.
For jumping heavies there are a lot to choose from, Catapult, Gallowglass, Thunderbolt, Crusader, Avatar, Guillotine, Grasshopper, Penetrator, Victor, Templar.
Just go with what you enjoy playing with as your style of play may be better suited to certain mechs. O0

The 85th Striker Mercenary unit is conducting a clandestine raid on planet in the Draconis Combine's Benjamin Military District near that district's border with the Federated Suns.  The 85th has arrived on planet within the last 24 hours and must destroy the aerospace fighters of the planetary militia so that the ASFs will not be a hindrance to the 85th's dropship when it is time to withdraw.

The base is defended by a battalion of militia infantry (two companies are away on exercise) and a company of light to medium tanks.  Possible reinforcements are: elements of Davison's Destroyers, other elements of the militia.

Friendly units are Gamma, Beta and First lances with a two Maxims (one for recovery of personnel and other for infantry transport) and rifle platoon for support

Weather:
Temp: 5 Deg C
Light: Full Moon Night
Weather: Clear
Wind: Moderate gale

Mission:
Gamma, Beta and First lances with 2 Maxims from Fourth and a rifle platoon from the Sixtieth Infantry will attack the airfield and destroy all enemy ASFs while sustaining minimal to no losses.  Other defenders are targets of opportunity.

Execution

Striker force will advance to the east under cover of night.  Strike force will destroy priority targets (ASFs) followed up by base defenders and cause as much destruction as possible to the air field.  After ASFs have been destroyed the strike force will retreat to the west.  Total time on target should be less than 20 minutes.

Sustainment:
Able Flight is on standby and three minutes out from engagement area.

The militia looks badly overmatched, even with reinforcements I doubt those ASF's will take off.
But they will make some wonderful salvage. O0
I wish I could get a good grip on reality, then I would choke it.

Watching TrueToaster create evil genius, priceless...everything else is just sub-par.
