A very long time ago there was a trading section on these forums (it predates my ever posting here, in fact, and that's been a LONG time). Unfortunately, some folks used it as an opportunity to scam people, hurt feelings and thrown pottery were had, and this being the official forums from the game's publisher (FanPro at the time) it was felt that a trading/sales forum was a bad idea, lest the company be held legally responsible for a bad transaction.

Hope that clears it up a little. As Wikkid said though, there's a number of good places on Facebook and other places to find the parts you need- and if you come up short, start a thread here explaining what you're looking for and I know many of us are always happy to help you come up with ideas for proxy replacements.

Which Facebook pages? I think that overseas shipping will kill any potential deals I might find, but yo never know.....

I just discovered some useful parts from PuppetsWar.eu that look like they have a LOT of potential for modding.

I have made some terrific custom designs from the Heavy Gear miniatures. Designed in 12mm scale, they fit well with BT scale. I currently have a full company of Terran Battleframes that scale as Battlemechs from 45 tons to 85 tons. The Northern and Southern gear designs have wheels on the backs of the feet, but I don't even notice once the base is textured and painted. AND sometime this fall, they will be released as plastic multi part models!!

I was wondering how the Heavy Gear miniatures stacked up size-wise to Battletech miniatures. I saw a blog that said they were quite a bit smaller, but another one said a few miniatures were too big too.

From their online catalog, they look terrific. AND they shoot the theory that "a smaller scale figure can't have decent detail" all to hell.

I have a huge pile of minis from the defunct 10mm Babylon 5 "GROPOS" ground-combat game. They can become a wide variety of interesting vehicles, and they have lots of infantry, too.

I personally use Dropzone Commander's infantry for my foot and jump infantry platoons, and you could probably get away with using vehicles from that game line on a BattleTech hex.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.
