Using the Standstill rules (AS Companion, p. 22), units gain a -1 to-hit modifer to their shots if they stand still(or close enough). How does this apply to IF attacks, where there are two units involved in making the attack, the shooter and the spotter? A strict reading of the rules only mentions units making attacks, which implies that a spotter cannot Stand Still to help make the attack more accurate. Is this the case, or can either unit Stand Still to improve the shot? Can both Stand Still for even more accuracy?
Come to think of it, I guess the exact same question can be applied to Jumping movement modifiers(same page), and whether they can only apply to the shooter or if a spotter's jumping can also affect an IF attack.
Thanks!
