EDIT Sorry if i talk too much about the font size and zoom, i just realized how much it matters nowadays to me.

That and do I need to get my glasses prescription checked  8)

Now I just need a FWL/Silver Hawk Irregulars/Clan Hell's Horses/Clan Stone Lion theme and I am all set.

I just got new glasses some months ago. Small fonts have been terrible after that... might have something do with the fact i don't have to lean so much forward anymore to see stuff. (Honestly kind of worried about my sight, 'cause i'm only 25... Probably going to need pretty strong glasses in five years.)

I used a theme with light text on a dark background. It was far easier on my eyes, given the 12-14 hours a day I have to spend staring at a screen already. I've switched to the "silver" theme to bring the palette into a narrower range, but I'd much rather get some sort of light-on-dark text again.
That's about where I'm at too

Is a Merc theme possible?

An advance warning of the change would have been very much appreciated - I just spent 15 minutes trying to troubleshoot my browser because all of a sudden the forums didn't seem to be loading properly. If I hadn't been lucky enough to spot

out of the corner of my eye, I would have given up on the forums for a few days in the belief that they were broken.

I'm doing OK so far with the Battletech 2.0 theme, but don't like any of the others.

I haven't voted yet, as I'm not quite sure what I'm voting for.

If they stay? Yes. There are plans for about a dozen more. The colors will be renamed to their appropriate faction name as well.

My feelings on:

Themes: Mox Nix. They're cute but if they're a headache to maintain I wouldn't miss them.

Inability to get a forum wide "unread posts" return:  What is this, a Blakist scheme to drive us crazy?  It just might work.  +1 to the suggestions upthread to go back to being able to press one button and see ALL unread posts.

Ok, I've returned the show replies and all replies back to the forum. Right now, they're towards the bottom of the index next to the "Mark All As Read". I will give them a nice button look before the poll ends.

I put my old theme right up again. I just didn't like the new one at all. And is something missing? Some categories?

I'm surprised at how frustrating it was being unable to see a compiled list of topics with new comments.  You never truly appreciate what you have until it is gone.  You are now my hero!

To be honest, once I managed to find where to change the theme, I changed back to Battletech 2.0.

I've only been on the forum a little while, but I find it easy to read and I'm used to it. Having options is nice, don't get me wrong there, I just didn't care for the new 'default'.

Obviously from the poll folks like the new options so those should stay. However, I did like the old theme. Can we get that back as one of the options?

Yes, rather than searching unread per category it would be nice to be able to search all unread posts again.
I especially miss the ability to search for new replies to threads that I've posted in

If they both "Unread new posts" and my unread messages on top the page would be the best.  I could live with this setup.

Knightmare, I will buy you a beer when next we meet.  In recognition of all your hard work.
It is appreciated.  The boards are loading MUCH faster.

however, I prefer the BT 2.0 theme and promptly changed to it.

While I have unusually excellent internet speeds, even I'm seeing load times go from 4-6 seconds to about 1-2. It's really as close to instantaneous as I've ever seen and a far cry from the chugging speeds of yesterdays.

I went to back to the 2.0 theme. The new replies is handier at the top, and I find the thicker fonts easier to read. Also, the default background (Timber Wolf wireframe) doesn't tile in the new theme on a 1920 x 1080 monitor, leaving beige bits at the bottom.

I selected no since when it switched me to the some new version without the ability to just press a single link so that I could just see who replied to my post and also it I amost tossed my phone since I thought it had broken but it was the theme. Thankfully I changed it back to BT 2.0 ASAP and ham I'm at home and happy I happy ya are giving faction themess but the ability to see replies to post is a option I do not want to give up.

I appreciate the hard work ya admins do though keep it up I guessing most ppl actually like the new themes but for me its a no go if I loose the ease of the features BT 2.0 gives also I used to it. But maybe I should give them. Maybe.

Love it.

Little note, it seems the Lyran theme is missing it backing image.  I see the possible reasons for this:

a) It's a glitch
b) You are messing with me
c) The Lyrans are about to be wiped out.
