Interesting that they have some Total Warfare tech in there as well. Though I'd love to know how ATMs are going to be implemented

Brace yourself, the 4 gauss anni is coming  8)

The 4 light gauss Anni might be the better pick in MWO though, if they keep the TT balance, it should out range everything except atms.

According to the MWO page describing the new tech, the ATMs will deal more damage at close range, and less damage at long range.  Unfortunately, this means no ammo switching :(

I do love how those 'mechs look :)

All together I'm pleased with the looks of these Mechs, they all look the part! And the tech is an interesting bonus. Will be interesting to see what comes of it.

Techs look good, mechs are ok. Might have to buy in on the packs this time around. Will be nice to put a rotary ac5 on my enforcer or an ultra ac/10

I am trying to think why the Annihilator, which was rare in universe to begin with instead of a more common 100 tonner.  I can only think of the fact that it was only because of being in a previous MW title.

can't say that attempt at the mechwarrior hellhound has any of the old design's charms for me....
well, we all get the weapons anyway, right?

You mean the Cougar?  No Hellhound in MWO as of this time.

I know the Uziel is a favorite but there are so many mechs from 3062-67 that may have been nice.  One question is if they are going to add newer versions of models already in the game. HBK-6S might be interesting.  Are we going to IS Omni's?

Because its "kewl" and many have been clamoring for it for years.

I get it, but don't want it.

I would've preferred a Charger.  Probably cuz I'm not right in the head...or so I've been told.

Yeah. It was, in MW3. Their trying to tap into notagia to get players to buy.  I'd rather have Hauptman or Fafnir.  Enforcer III and Jagermech III with rotaries would be a Better feel 4 civil war.

I'd love to have the JagerIII, though I'm kind of hoping it gets the Stalker treatment (Compare the MWO Stalker to the Dildo of Doom that is the oldschool model), because I love the classic JM6s, but the J3 is just awkward looking (Big huge body, scrawny looking legs). Which is sad because the loadouts are actually pretty decent. Getting the 70 ton JM7s would be pretty awesome (The RAC/T-Comp model's a beast, though the Ultra over ERLLs wouldn't be too bad either.)

I still say "Blood Adder" is a stupid name for a hero.

I'm also irritated that at least one of the people on the Twitch stream misunderstood a question about the Mad Cat MKII's missile pods three times in a row, and then everyone just gave up on getting him to properly understand it.

What happened was, paraphrased here;

A:"So people were asking about the Mad Cat MKII hero's missile pods. Would they still be there if there was no missiles?"

B:"Oh, the missile pods change size depending on the amount of missile tubes you have. Here it is with twin SRM-4s"

A:"But do they go away when you don't put missiles there?"

B:"-Silence-"

B:"Yeah, they change size depending on what missiles you put there"

I mean, I want to like the Company, but holy hell, PGI needs a better PR department that DOES NOT consist of exclusively top management.

They've since confirmed on the forums at least - https://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/249697-first-looks-at-some-of-the-civil-war-mech-models/page__view__findpost__p__5716379

If the player chooses not to run missiles the missile boxes will Disappear.

Yeash, the Annihilator taller than the Atlas.  :o

I thought the Anni was always considered to be taller than the Atlas?

Mad Cat II could use a little shrinking though.

I'd say they should also recess the missile launcher and reduce the size of the Uziel overall, before they touch the Mad Cat MKII.
