What specifically are you having trouble with? Where the parts go? If you check out the camospecs page for it you can usually get enough views of a mini to figure out how to put it together. I'm assuming you have the C4 mini with this link. http://camospecs.com/MiniList.asp?Action=Detail&ID=190

Assemble it before painting.  Read through some of my assembly guides for tips on cleaning, putting minis together, and holding the pieces together while the glue/epoxy dries.  Everything you need to know is there.  Seriously.  The Catapult is similar enough to the Marauder or Mad Cat that those specific guides can be used.

Curiosities sake, which version do you have?

Basically, do you have Ol' Stumpy or Tall Dark & Handsome? It makes a big difference.

Try painting a dark wash over it, try the "Army Painter - dark tone"

It will make the panels pop out more and also make the cockpit areas darker

It's not a big deal, and this is just a heads up, but you do have the feet on backwards.

Also, that does not look like the IWM hex base.  Rather it looks like the small platform some mechs have as part of the mini, I think to give them more weight at the bottom to stablize.

I did purchase the IWM hex base and felt 8t was to small so i have decided to go with a plastic base.

The IWM hexbases are sized to fit the spaces on the old hex maps.  If you are not using the hex maps in your games (lots of people prefer 3D terrain), there's no reason not to use a larger base (some of the larger Assault mechs and Quad mechs really require one).

That sculpt of the Catapult comes with the feet molded onto a hexbase insert.

Im currently using the hex maps  with the intro box. When i ordered the catapult i also ordered a hex base form iwm at the same time. Sadly it is to small but i want a proper hex base for it thats why im getting some plastic hex bases.

Do you have the stock number of the base you ordered?  I know for a fact that your Catapult fits within IWM's standard hex base.  However, they have a lot of hex bases on their website and you may have ordered the wrong size.

The battleforce mini's (and hex bases) are smaller than the Battletech scale mini's and bases.

Huh, never knew the base included in a lot of mechs were BF sized.  Yeah, compare your pic to the other ones of a mini shown.  They are sitting on a IWM BT hexbase, which does fill the whole paper map hex.

For larger minis (like the taller version of the Catapult I had in my above images), I like to use IWM's 32mm bases- most minis fit without any trouble on them, and while they don't fit exactly in the lines on a hex map it's close enough that you can still play the game without any major confusion unless things turn into a total close-combat furball. (Reaper's CAV bases are even better, but a bit difficult to find these days for me)

20-800 are the standard bases. 99-201, 99-202, and 99-203 also fit standard minis.

Huh, never knew the base included in a lot of mechs were BF sized.
They aren't.  The base he has on there is attached to the feet and is only a partial hex, similar to the Alpha Strike or Boxed Set minis, but not as tall.  The BF base isn't attached because it didn't fit.
