SO p.168 states warships, jumpships, dropships and space stations can provide assistance to similar units to which they are physically docked.
SO p.66 outlines how large aerospace units located in the same hex may dock.
TW p. 78 allows stacking a virtual infinite number of units in the same space hex.

Question 1 (ref. p.66): can multiple aerospace units be docked to each other? (limited by e.g. facings or bay doors)
Question 2 (ref. p.168): can a unit render assistance to multiple other docked units simultaneously?

Quick scenario check:

Unit A, a dedicated tender dropship with a crew of 180 renders assistance to three smaller dropships of Type B with 5 crew each by docking them to its bay doors. It provides 180/15 * 2 hours additional maintenance time, averaging to 8 hours per assisted dropship.

Maintenance for the assisted dropships runs twice as fast as normal, thus providing the benefit of a one-level rush job (without the delayed component check roll or the +1 modifiers to current and next maintenance) or the same benefit as being docked to a yardship.

Any further footfalls in that logic?

Related question, just checking: Can maintenance provided thus still be modified through rush jobs, extra time etc?

Yes, you are correct in your interpretation of the rules. Just remember that if you have more than one unit being assisted, you have to divide the crew between them. This does not need to be evenly divided, just needs to be clearly documented.

Does the yes also apply to the second question?
