Besides the normal pros and cons of aging in the gamemaster section of ATOW does do anything else when a character ages year by year?

Aside from advancing the storyline & allowing your campaign to keep up with the timeline...nope.

The great warriors in the 31st century keep on kicking butt into their 70s and 80s, so it should be a long campaign before you run into issues.
