The Cobalt Keshik and the 3rd Wolf Jaegers cluster have traveled to the planet Carsphairn inside the Lyran Commonwealth, formerly a Republic world. Most importantly, home to a primarily wolf clan enclave. CWF Rho Galaxy forces grounded on in North Teslia, where the enclave is located.
Defending this enclave they found a cobbled together sohlama force and under-funded sibko. A challenge was issued, pitting Star Captain Paterno Carns' star, as well as Julietta Kerensky's star and Dobry's sohlama security star against both binaries. Honorable battle ensued, the two wolf packs trading blows and testing one another. Determined to prove themselves, the Carsphairn Wolves fought quite fiercely and when Star Captain Lizbeth of the sohlama binary shot Paterno Carns' Dervish out from under him the battle was declared ended in favor of the Carsphairn Enclave.
Galaxy Commander Josh Ward made them an offer. Their defense of their home had been both honorable and impressive and it was exactly the sort of thing he would like to see more of in the Wolf Empire. Rather than continue to starve and be viewed with suspicion by the people of Carsphairn, the Wolf Empire would absorb them with honors, adopting their lower castes as well as the warriors. For her shining performance in the battle, Star Captain Lizbeth would be offered command of a provisional unit under Rho's Aegis. She would do what she had always done, in defending the Enclave, but now she would do it with the backing of Clan Wolf behind her. Properly. Star Captain Lizbeth requested a moment to discuss the matter with Trainer Star Captain Gonn of the sibko unit, and their lower caste peers.
During these negotiations, word was received of two new (and near simultaneous) arrivals in system. Clan Jade Falcon, and the LCAF had both arrived at Carsphairn. How they had both known Rho Galaxy would be there and arrived so quickly was a bit of a concern, but it was useful. With their arrival, the Carsphairn Enclave Wolves were far more receptive to the Empire's offer and they were integrated.
A modest addition of combat strength, the real profit was in the Enclave's resources. Those lower caste personnel experienced in Clan Ways. Their Iron Wombs and Genetic Data. Their technical and labor personnel. The trick now would be holding these against the falcons circling overhead, and the Lyrans who viewed this as incursion against their territory.
