Rules Annex, pg. 245

"Game Rules: TSEMP weapons are only effective against targets weighing more than 200 tons and cannot be effectively used against conventional infantry at all."
This contradicts the TSEMP chart on the previous page, which reads that targets of 200 tons or more are unaffected by TSEMP.
Should probably be changed to:
"Game Rules: TSEMP weapons are only effective against targets weighing no more than 200 tons and cannot be effectively used against conventional infantry at all.

PDF, page 54, 5th Galedon fluff:
"Even in those cases, though, the honor and nobility of these pilots, samurais all, was beyond reproach."

"Samurai" would be the correct plural noun.

PDF, page 54, 5th Galedon fluff:
"The two wing commanders, Sho-sa Mariano Ramirez and Dai-i Ichiro Sato, have both turned down opportunities to join the Second Sword of Light’s wing."
PDF page 62, 1st Amphigean LAG fluff:
"The Starwalkers, the First’s aerospace wing, has received a brand new
commander in Sho-sa Kyomi Arioch..."

Barring new information that renders House Kurita pg 130, FM: Draconis Combine pg 15-16 and ATOW Companion pg 30 obsolete, ASF pilots are all in the DCA and the DCA does not include the rank of Sho-sa.  The equivalent rank would be Dai-I.  Furthermore while DCA officers sometimes report to DCMS superiors is well documented, there is no evidence that DCMS officers are ever directly appointed AS wing commanders.
In addition:  PDF pages 64-67, DCMS unit deployment tables went from FM3085 assigning the rank of Cho-sa (sic) to Aero wing commanders to Sho-sa in FM3145.  Recommended changing back to corrected O-4 rank of Chu-sa or proper DCA rank of Dai-i if command of aero wings is now an O-3 billet.

Pg 231, Draconis Combine Battle Armor RAT:

roll result of 2 entry:  "Void (DCA) (3145)"

The correct TRO reference would be 3075

Since there's not a rules questions subforum for TROs and other non-core rulebooks (I don't think Supplemental has quite the priority this one might need?), I'll put the question here:

Are HarJel II and III supposed to be able to regenerate more damage than has been suffered per turn?  As written, an LMG will deal one damage to a location, and if that location has HarJel II or III, it will then automatically regenerate either two or four points of armor, for a net gain of one or three armor.  In such a fashion, out of combat, it would be possible to completely "repair" a unit to maximum armor by striking it with LMGs repeatedly over the course of a few minutes.

I'm fairly sure that's not supposed to happen.  In light of that, suggested fix is to amend the descriptions for HarJel II and III to add a phase denoting that said systems cannot regenerate above and beyond the amount of damage taken that turn.

Sorry for the inconvenience - before:

Page 130:
Commonwealth Jaegers description:

In 3133, amid concerns of questionable loyalty
and suspected ties to separatist movements, the Skye Jaegers were disbanded as well.

While novels are not "lore" - the novel  "Bonfire of Worlds" was for a long time the reference.
During the assassination attempt at Melissa Steiner at February 22. 3141 - a Skye Jaeger Fafnir guarding the throne room - the pilot didn't move to protect its Archon - so she should get punished by Loki.

Could be a typo in both ways - but I would think a disbanding - in 43 would make more sense

Should that be "are only effective against targets weighing no more than 200 tons"?
The rest of the entry suggests that.

EDIT: Already covered above.

(Note: Astute players will notice that this failure change is the same as that of the MASC system.)

-paragraph break-

Unlike the Coolant Pod, the Radical Heat Sink system will not explode if it suffers a
critical hit in combat.

For clarity, it should be written that Radical Heat Sink Systems do indeed suffer a critical hit upon failure.  (Unless for some reason, overuse of it makes it explode like a Coolant Pod anyways, and from my reading that doesn't seem to be the case.)

In the chart for Equipment levels on mechs Stone's brigade receives a +24 to rolls. The Hastati Sentinels receive a +16 to rolls.

On the actual RAT the Republic only goes up to 28 results. So anything above a roll of two would push Stone's Brigade off the chart.

Suggested Correction:

Stone's Brigade +16
Hastati Sentinels +12

1) Calderon Protectorate should be added to the list who roll on the Periphery (General) RATs
2) Stone's Brigade gets a +16 to their battlemech rolls, not a +24.
3) Periphery (General) Battle Armour rolls for A should be +6, with presumably +4 for B, and +2 for C.

PDF, Page 215, FWL RAT Mechs

Heavy BattleMechs, on a roll of 5:
GLT-3M Guillotine [70] (3050U-C)
There's no 3M; most likely 3N oder 5M was intended.

PDF, Page 216, FWL States Sub-table
Assault BattleMechs, on a roll of 12 for Ducal Guard etc.
EMP-6M2 Emperor [90] (3058U-C)
There's no 6M2; most likely 6M was intended.

p. 246:

"In addition to providing a +2 modifier to all rolls"

CHANGE TO:

"In addition to providing a -2 modifier to all rolls"

Harjel II and III are much better than standard, but not quite as good as Harjel 1 at stopping breaches. Of course, they bring other advantages.
The solution is just ignore Paul.

Pg. 234, PDF second release (with maps)

The Xerxes (85 tons) is listed on the Medium Fighters table on the 18 spot for the Free Worlds League.  That's very obviously not a medium fighter.  Similarly, the Jagatai on the 20 spot is 70 tons, and also not a Medium Fighter.

Suggestion: Replace these two entries with actual Medium fighters.

Rules clarification

PDF, pg 242, Heat dissipating armor

Quote
Game Rules: As long as the location struck still has at least 1 point of armor remaining, Heat-Dissipating Armor reduces the heat
effects from flamers, plasma weapons, infernos, and other external sources (including fire) by half (rounding down).

How does heat from external sources (fires) work with patchwork heat dissipating armor?

If I walk through/stand in a burning hex, how would patchwork heat dissipating armor work?

As per the rules stickied at the top of this forum, if you don't know the answer, please post in the appropriate CGL Interaction forum (Rules Questions, Ask The Devs, etc) instead of here.  Errata is generally for confirmed answers - for the most part I can't answer a question anymore than you can.

In this case, Supplementary Rules would be the place to check.  Thank you.

p. 186, Fronc Reaches, second paragraph

"The boom in the Reaches’ economy allowed President Handley to start a colonization (with settlers from Capellan and now independent worlds) and small-scale terraforming program in three systems starting in 3099: Appian, Mandalas, and Tincalunus."

Problem: according to various maps - including those in FM: 3145 the name of the planet or system is Tincalunas, not Tincalunus.

p. 189, Filtvelt Coalition,first paragraph

"Cal-Boeing of Dorwinion expanded its production off of Filtvelt to Lackland in order to produce the Aurora-class DropShip (under contract), and to introduce its own line of endo-steel, CBD Endo-Lite, whose primary buyer is Coalition Armor Inc."

Problem: according to the Hound entry in TRO:3145 Mercenaries, the name of the company is Coalition Armory inc. One or other source is incorrect.

p. 199, Fronc Reaches, First Fronc Cuirassiers

"These mini formations are able to operate independently, as they must often do on their assigned worlds of McEvan’s Sacrifice and Portland."

Problem: According to maps in various sources (including FM:3145) the name of the Fronc Reachs system is McEvans' Sacrifice, not McEvan's Sacrifice.

p. 203, Fronc Reaches, First Fronc Cuirassiers

Problem: The misspelling of McEvans' Sacrifice as McEvan's Sacrifice is repeated in the deployment table for the First Fronc Cuirassies on page 203.

p. 188, Marian Hegemony, First Paragraph

"Alphard Trading Company, spared during the Word of Blake’s attack on Alphard, has dramatically expanded its production..."

Problem: The previously established name for ATC is the Alphard Trading Corporation; it was confirmed in the Ask The Writers forum the reference to the Alphard Trading Company is a typo.

p. 189, Filtvelt Coalition, First Paragraph

"... and to introduce its own line of endo-steel, CBD Endo-Lite, whose primary buyer is Coalition Armor Inc."

Problem: According to Objectives: Periphery (p.24) and Technical Readout 3145: Mercenaries (p. 38, Hound entry) the name of the company is Coalition Armory Inc., not Coalition Armor Inc.

Not sure if error or intentional:

p. 124; regarding the Lyran Royal Guards: "each applicant has to go through extensive background checks by LIC before they are allowed such close access to the Archon."
Similar entries on the LIC checking the loyalty of LCAF personnel can be found on the pages 127, 129, and 130.

In most contemporary, western militaries such a job would fall to the military (counter-)intelligence, not the civilian intelligence. Likewise I would have expected the LCAF's MID, if it still exists; it was last mentioned in the FM:LA, iirc.

Page: 132, unit deployment
Location: Under "Coventry Province" the 14th and 15th Lyran Regulars are shown as subunits of the 9th Lyran Regulars and have no equipment rating.
Correction: Adjust inset to give the 14th and 15th their own proper entry and assign RAT quality ratings

PDF Pg. 101

"Thera-class Delos remains stranded in orbit" Change Delos to Santorini.

As there has been some confusion and contradictory errata statements, the stranded WarShip is the Santorini and it remains above Oriente. All references to the Delos should be omitted.

p.120

Quote
The Duchy’s forces were unable to withstand the sudden Lyran assault, and—after the Eighth Lyran Guards landed on Tamarind itself—a ceasefire was signed between the two realms on 14 December 3137.

Error: Incorrect regiment. The Eighth Guards were stationed on the Falcon front, and Fire at Will places the Third Lyran Regulars on Tamarind instead.
Correction: Replace Eighth Lyran Guards with Third Lyran Regulars.

"his words carried little weight beyond the EMpire borders."
Correction: Change to "Empire" or "Empire's" depending on style manual used.

p. 60
"Tai-sa Takeji Yoshizawa won the Silver Claw for claiming nine ’Mech kills taking Sakhara IV"
Correction: Sakhara V

p. 122
"The first week of July 3142 saw heavy fighting around the Nagelring"
Issue:  Alaric issued his batchall 9 July 3143, and the Nagelring was assaulted 13 July (Tomahawk II, TRO3145 p. 180, TRO3145 Clans p. 52). The 2nd Royal Guard would relocate to the Tatyana Islands by the 15th to face the Falcons (Adder, RG3 p. 12).
Correction: replace "first week" with "second week" and 3142 with 3143

p. 124
"the Second took heavy casualties during the fighting around the Nagelring and Tharkad City against the Wolves."
Issue: Also faced the Falcons, see entry for p. 122
Correction: Replace with ""the Second took heavy casualties during the fighting around the Nagelring and Tharkad City against the Wolves, and the Tatyana Islands against the Falcons."
NOTE: Alternatively RG3 p. 12 can be changed from the 2nd Royal to the 3rd Royal who were noted as arriving on Tharkad just prior to the Falcons and were presumably engaged by them on Tatyana. Also accounts for why Wolf PWSs & CWS Rogue didn't interdict the 3rd's arrival, since they would be bid in the Falcon Trial, not the Wolf.

p. 125
"only the Twentieth and Twenty-fifth Guards made it to Tharkad to support the LCAF forces on world. In the bitter fighting there, both of these Arcturan Guards regiments were destroyed."
Issue: Text later that page states the 26th was present for the fighting.
Correction: Replace with "only the Twentieth, Twenty-fifth, and Twenty-sixth Guards made it to Tharkad to support the LCAF forces on world. In the bitter fighting there, the former two of these Arcturan Guards regiments were destroyed."

The Taurian Guard and Concordat Jaegers experience/tech ratings do not match their descriptions.

The Guard are listed as having a Veteran (PDF page 201) experience level when the unit description reads:
"Stationed on Taurus since the Jihad, the Taurian Guard has seen
some of the lowest amount of actual combat in the TDF. Only the
high quality of regiment’s officers keeps its collective skill above that
of totally inexperienced cadet class." - PDF page 194

The Jaegers are listed as having a Regular experience level and a Tech rating of C (PDF pg 201). Unit description reads:
"The Concordat Jaegers are arguably the best-equipped force in
the TDF, and they have good reason to be. Stationed on the worlds
of Jansen’s Hold and Midale, the Jaegers see more combat than any
other Concordat command. Not only are they subject to continual
raids from the Capellan Confederation and the Federated Suns, but
Protector Doru also employs the Jaegers as his primary retaliatory
strike force." - PDF pg 194

p.79, First Periphery Guard, second paragraph
"The First uses the standard Periphery Guard paint scheme of ash gray"

Replace "ash" with "dark", per CSO.

p.79, Fifth Periphery Guard, second paragraph
"The Fifth uses a bright red accent instead of the standard white highlights"

Reword to read "The Fifth adds a bright red accent".  There are no standard white highlights on the Periphery Guard scheme, per CSO.
