At least, I'll try.
There are hundreds and thousands of really cool gaming sites and Battletech related blogs and fansites.
Some sites are well known, like IWM and CSO. Others aren't.
I have my lists... and I like to hear other people's favorites as well.
I'm NOT trying to sell stuff. So please don't post a link to an auction site.
I'll start off with just a few of my favorites, and I hit them daily. Both sites are family friendly-ish.
www.battletechuniverse.org
www.lordsofthebattlefield.com
A few favorite blogs:
Ronin' Ramblings - blog within a fansite

What do y'all have listed as favorites?

Lords of the Battlefield has been the site I've met more players through then any other .
http://heavygauss.com/ (http://heavygauss.com/)
That's Dave Fanjoy's site . He has great pictures of a HUGE amount
of minis on there . He's quite a few extremely rare minis on there
as well as the various different sculpts of most of the mass produced
minis ever made .
Perhaps all of them .
It's a fantastic resource for looking up detailed pics of older minis .

I love Paint-it-Pink! Panther 6 knows her stuff!
I also was pleasantly surprised by the BT Arbitration podcast. I love the reviews and lively discussion by Arbiter and crew. :)

TWO great sites I've heard of in the past, but seem to have failed to make it to my favorites folder...
fixed that!
Here is one I'm surprised no one mentioned: I use it to reference almost EVERYTHING.
The BattleTech Wiki @ Sarna
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Main_Page
Also, a font of general scifi sillyness and some really good fanfiction... but NOT for the faint of heart.
SPACEBATTLES!
http://www.spacebattles.com/index.php
And another awesome reference site, full of free game aids and helpful programs for gamers.

:o oh wow, I keep on forgetting webring made a mirror of that thing when geocities went bust! You humble me, kind sir.
EDIT: back when I started hanging out on the net regularly to get my BT fixes (think 14 years ago) the 2 sites I most relied on were Wars in the Inner Sphere (a small tribute to that is on my own page) and http://www.mordel.net (http://www.mordel.net) - the latter is still around and the most heinously forgotten still-active page. What you get is:
- full stats of all the still-valid hard copy RS volumes released in the mid-90s to early 00s... and the ability to rate and review them! (also a list of products up to the end of FASA days, again with the interactive options)
- a forum that 10 years ago was one of the most active on the net. This is the core of the problem, as these very forums were probably the death knell to Mordel's
- ... the chance to hang out in Mordel's, the notable pilot of the original PP Thunderbolt! Yes, ladies and gents, Mordel's was the community that started the debate that ultimately led to Project Phoenix
- see the first point? You can also enter your own units into the database which can then be reviewed and rated by your peers. But will be sorted into the database for posterity. This is the single most unique feature of the website that I have yet to see replicated anywhere. Usually hang out on the design boards? Well, you best go visit Mordel's, then :)
Edit 2: re Mordel's forum. I think it's pretty telling that this forum's rules were based on his, and while since much-modified, he's still credited as partially responsible. Makes me smile every time I reread the rules (as anyone should).

I have just started up my own blog on Battletech and the other wargames I play. While I'm still "moving in" (i.e. I'm not 100% set up the way I want it to appear) you can visit me at http://www.thebattletechzone.com (http://www.thebattletechzone.com).

Try this site for a nice rules light campaign system:

-
http://nogutsnogalaxy.net/
They do a weekly podcast that focuses primarily on the electronic versions of the games. Pretty entertaining and getting better as time goes on. Randall is supposed to be on the show next week.

While I am biased towards my husbands and my work on Arbitration (gotta plug it, and yes I am MrsArbiter)
I also like the Scrapyard Armory, Lords of the Battlefied, and Solaris 7, but then I am a Miniatures and Tech head more then anything else.

Y'know I think the reference material on this thread makes it worth stickying.
HEY MODS: Would that be possible, please?
So I took some time to use this thread to go back and visit alot of the sites I havent hit recently...
Some haven't been updated in months! (cracks whip menacingly)
My favorite has been on vacation for nearly 3 weeks, so perhaps he's back now.

I hope this gets pinned. It would be a wonderful resource, both as a way to get more BattleTech info and as a way to broaden the community.
-
Not very useful for the English speaking community, but probably the most up to date German site:
http://hpgstation.de
-
MechGround is still recovering from being hacked, which is a pity as it was a good resource if you were trying to figure out the first book a given design appeared in
-
WarhawkPPC... wow, I remember going there on a dial up connection!
Anyone remember BattleTech Soundtracks? Someone made a lot of original music for each faction. It was a link on BattleTech Mod Productions. I wish I got all that music while I could... :(

Thank you for the links!
Some of my favorites are long gone: Albatross's House Marik site, and Deathfrombeyond's Kurita site, and the Asgard Steiner site.

Starting a new blog geared towards Alpha Strike if anyone is interested:
http://alphastrikepfaust.blogspot.com/ (http://alphastrikepfaust.blogspot.com/)
-
Just wanted to bump the thread to let people know that the Alpha Strike blog is still going strong, I have added some articles, and made some additions to some old ones. Needless to say? More is a coming, including some Lyran companies, and I will be creating some new units as well, and I intend to have people play follow along as they are born!
So pay a visit and spread the word!

https://hpgstation.de is also still running (or running again to be more precise, since I had no time to take care of it for a while).
