Well, kind of depressing news- my beloved Canon G9 Power Shot died on me while I was taking a slew of new pictures. I had to send her off to El Paso, Texas to get her fixed. On the positive side, I did manage to get a few shots off before it died. Here are a few of my newest projects...all of them are, of course, in wonderful 1/144 (10mm) scale.

First up, a Crusher Joe starfighter that I believe is known as the Samurai by my fellow Battletechies.
I added a few extra weapon systems to the fuselage prongs.

Next, a fairly rare find off of E-Bay. Any Cowboy Bebop fans here? This one is the Redtail.

Another Cowboy Bebop ship, the Hammerhead. I had to add a couple of nose cannons because I didn't want her to be just a utility vehicle.

Now a highly modified SU-37

And what would my post be without something Star Wars, especially on this Star Wars holiday of May the 4th?
Here is a flight of rare TIE Predators. One came with each of my Sentinel Assault Shuttles. Unfortunately, this is the last picture my camera took before it died.

That Cowboy bepop stuff made me a cry a little, because it reminded me what a great show that was. Seriously good work all round!

actually those are S-37's, not Su-37's. the S-37 Berkut was the sukhoi in house designation. NATO designation is Su-47 Firkin. it was a tech demonstrator to test and show off sukhoi's fly by wire tech and the FSW planform.

the Su-37 is a heavily upgraded Su-33 Flanker also built as a tech demonstrator. though it was made to try and convince the russian military to upgrade to it from their Su-27's..

The TIE Predators are from some strange corner of the expanded universe. I wasn't entirely fond of them until they turned up in an add-on mod for Empire At War.

The Cowboy Bebop minis are probably pretty old. When I scour E-Bay for N-scale/ 10mm/ 1/144th scale models, sometimes little gems like those pop up and I am compelled to give them a good home.

Now the S-37. Where did you find one in that scale? All mine are way too small.

I want to say it's made by Maistro (SP?). I filed off all the manufacturer markings a long time ago. It is die-cast metal, so it is a bit hard to modify by cutting. I think I found it at Wal-Mart or Hobby Town. Again, I got this a long time ago and I just recently pulled it out of mothballs to redo it.

Maisto makes a good deal of cheap, fun little die cast toys. They still offer the SU-37 in their line up.
