Very very cool.  And something rightly feared in the old Mechwarrior computer games.  ;D

Today I have put final touches onto my "Loki" Mech for the 1st Jaguar Guard's Command Star.

With all five miniatures painted, that one is completed. Here are  a couple of shots from the miniature (old Ral Partha sculpt).  ;)

To date, our Luthien scenario was the most fun my group has ever had playing the TT. Of course, that was back in the 90's, but who's counting? These look fantastic. I especially like the urban camo. It reminds me of an old scheme that Archer's Miniatures used to paint. Hope you post some battle reports, so I can relive a bit of Luthien.

"Trojan Horses" (Luthien Scenario Pack): 1st Jaguar Guards Bravo Assault Star
My original plan was to always do one Lance of Inner Sphere Mechs and one Star of Clan Mechs, alternating between the two factions. Thanks to German Customs (it seems) my arrival of Inner Sphere reinforcements has been delayed. In order not to waste time, I instead build up my next Star of Smoke Jaguar Mechs. Those are a mix of old Ral Partha sculpts, newer Iron Wind Metals Omni Mech parts (SRM 6s on the Man O' War, Pulse Laser muzzles on the Nobori-Nin) and a plastic figure from 2nd edition Citytech. There was some minor conversion work on the Nobori-Nin, to bring it to "B" configuration standards (see his arms in foreground).

from left to right:
Gargoyle (Man O' War)
Summoner (Thor)
Huntsman (Nobori-Nin)
Hellbringer (Loki)
Nova (Black Hawk)

by the time of posting those are already primed and ready for painting.

Thunderbolt, Archer, Crusader and Warhammer, all metal unseen  minis from Ral Partha.

  • LOVE AND PEACE!!!
These are beautiful! It's really impressive when someone can make the Citytech clan mechs look like masterpieces. I'm really in love with that Battlemaster too! That purple on the cockpit is gorgeous!

Simply masterful.  You've totally done justice with the plastics, and I appreciate your creative use of gold paint to achieve the Otomo insignia.

The classics return to the battlefield - unfortunately one of the antennas snapped off when I took the pictures.   :'(
I hope the well-knowing BT fans can tell me whether I painted the cockpit in the right spot or not.   ;)

1st Jaguar Guards Bravo Assault Star "Man O' War" Mech

This is an old Ral Partha sculpt, I have only added SRM-6 launchers from the Iron Wind Metal Omni-Mech part catalogue to finish off a "prime" configuration.

Wowza! You're really hitting this project outa the park! Every mech is a winner! Great job on the Smoke Jags especially, I'm about to tackle a star of Delta galaxy Smoke Jags myself. If they turn out half this good I'd be well pleased.

I have to say, I'm more of a camo guy vs. Parade scheme and such.  Not a fan of flames....Don't get me wrong....Im always amazed at the paint jobs y'all do.  It inspires me.

But I have to say I like the flames you did here.  Just the right amount.  I'm really digging the clan mechs.  I wish I could do cockpits like that.

Now, these last IS mechs.  One word,  Wow.

I think the rising sun on that T-bolt is outstanding, and that Warhammer is wonderful.

After a lot of urgent family matters I finally got back to the painting table. This conversion of Ral Partha's Nobori-nin to represent the Bravo configuration is my latest work.

Wow, great job Sarge! Absolutely loving the work. My favorite thus far is the Otomo Warhammer but Jag and Kurita alike very well done.

Dang, those are all some nice-looking 'mechs.

I love the freehand 'Rising Sun' flags on the shoulders of some of the Otomo. Care to share how you did that?
