Formed towards the end of Succession Wars, Neon's Knights was the brain child of Micheal Neon, a Jewish descendent who trace his lineage back to Earth's British Isle and the Naon family line. It was during the family's relocation to North America, the surname was bastardized into Neon, and the name has since stuck.

Neon's Knights are painted a bright yellow with lime green highlights. The unit logo is a mounted medieval knight with bright green and yellow tunic and barding.

That's going to be a tongue-twister. "Yeah, NeonKnight's Neon's Knights."

First up, the Unit's Support lance, consisting of a Raven, Cicada, Panther and Phoenix mech.

The first photo shows the lance after an initial brush with a yellow base coat for the phoenix (the other mechas had been primed with a Desert Yellow primer, so I felt they could probably do without the yellow base coat).

The last photos shows the lance basically finished, with shading, decals (home-made Neon's Knights unit logo), and basing 95% done.

I liked how this experiment with Yellow turned out. For the next lance I will do more step-by-step photos. I wanted to see how the scheme came out first before doing a more detailed write up.

Time for a new update, this time the "Command Lance", which is for intents of ALPHA STRIKE a Battle Lance, consisting of a BattleMaster BLR-1Gb, Talos TLS-1B, Vindicator VND-1R, and a Hatchetman HCT-3F.

I've always loved the look of the Talos, finding it kind of unique in the BT universe, almost like a bit of a light predecessor of the Timberwolf.

So, the first is the Lance ready for the brush, primed and ready to go. The Battlemaster, Vindicator and hatchetman were primed with ARMY PAINTER's Desert Yellow Spray, while the Talos I've had a for a few years, and was primed with I believe Krylon's White primer.

The second picture shows the lance base coated with GW's AVERLAND SUNSET, a good 'yellow' for a descent base coat. The last picture is the lance all with an initial coat of GW's FLASH GLITZ YELLOW.

I will post up a few more pics in short order as I do the following to them, Give them a wash of GW's Shade CASANDORA YELLOW, a few dry brushes of more FLASH GLITZ YELLOW and maybe some of the older SUNBURST YELLOW and BAD MOON YELLOW (these older OOP paints are even brighter yellows) before giving a glaze of LAMENTORS YELLOW.

After that I will paint the metalics (the glazes and shades have a tendency to stain the metallics a gold color) and then highlight with the neon Greens and Cockpits. Final stage will be the Decals and basing.

So, Company is more or less finished. Just needs a little foliage on some of the bases, but otherwise complete.

Much Like nckestrel did with his company here

http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=48477.0

I too am placing my mechs on their respective unit cards. I find it really helps new players if the unit picture looks like the mini on the table for teaching the game.
