Apparently not which is a shame. There are some fantastic suits in 3145.
Why not Zoidberg?

This is just Distro releases and some web only items already done just waiting on productions. Battle Armor would still be a Fan funded item and we are working on bringing this back in some capacity in the future.

I also hope you all enjoy the Arion, the Thor II and the Arctic wolf.

That Arion is going to be interesting, it was a lot of work to make it right, and I hope you all enjoy this oddity :)

I am gonna be interested in the stalker II. If it looks anything like shimmering swords work. Then it will be a far cry better than the older bad year blimp models.

Carronade is a maybe, but I do plan on at least 2 Havocs, and eventually, 1 or 2 Tenshi's.......

Was hoping for the Gauntlet, or Centurion Omni....... but at least I'll buy a few this year.
With my local store finally carrying a decent selection, I have bought about 14 mechs in the last 3 months, but, as I add in more, I find that I am buying less and less, as I am now targeting specific designs, and just waiting for others to come off archive, with the monthly online releases.......

I'm going to be working on that with shim. He and I are good friends and we work together on a lot of the mechs and other projects so i think I'll be able to match to the Source art :)

Awesome list of upcoming units!

Let's see some other artist get their hands on these as well. I'd like to see some more units sculpted by Psycho. I think he nailed the Blood Asp and Sunder.

Common IWM, spread these new sculpts around. We've got a lot of talented artist available, lets use them all!

There are plenty of new artists, I am one of them! It is my fault we have a quadvee coming  8)

Also, the new Koshi was done by a new sculptor, as was the cardinal transport.

If anyone is interested in helping out, just contact IWM and they will see what they can do.

The Arion is probably the 2015 release I am most looking forward to.  I hope its popular enough that we see the other two QuadVees, the Cyllaros and Harpagos done, too.   8)

Coming in late to this convo but the fact that we're looking at only 20 minis released to regular distro for the whole year is concerning, that number is surprisingly small, hard to believe even. What's even more distressing is the fact that very few of the most popular items in the 'what would you like to see next from 3145' made it on to the list. Unless they show up on the online releases the whole exercise seems kind of pointless. Companies like GHQ release almost 20 minis EVERY TWO MONTHS and they are of superior quality in every way, though they are smaller. Though I am excited about some of the releases, for example the gurteltier, overall the year is not a positive one for a number of reasons. I don't expect nor want to be dazzled by every release that comes out, the fact that as of right now we are seeing so few releases is distressing. Coupled with what feels like slow releases in terms of books and supplements (again I could be wrong on this, it's just a feeling) I can't help but be concerned about the health of Btech itself. The one positive thing is that IWM is adapting new techniques, which suggests that they haven't lost interest in it. Perhaps I'm just being pessimistic. The fact that vehicles don't seem to be making it onto regular releases also irks me, but I remember ages ago someone saying that vehicles just aren't popular enough. Either way I don't like it even if I do understand why this may be the case.

The difference from last year is only 6 items (20 vs 26), beyond the regular distribution releases there will be more Web items which will include vehicles then last year. As for the releases not including items from the thread, the whole release schedule except for 1st Quarter (pushed over from 2014) and non-3145 items came from that thread. Wanted to avoid being to heavy to one faction with releases next year so there is a mixture of designs from a variety of factions and weight classes.

Yeah, but I'm not just thinking of last year. When I started collecting btech minis I remember getting a new batch of 4 or 5 every other month. Now the releases were always late, so some of the end of the year minis got pushed to the new year, but I'm fairly sure we used to get multiple regular releases per quarter, in addition to the occasional online release like protomechs, BAs, naval vessels and fighters.

That's still only 24 - 30 mini's released per year which is pretty much in line with what Speck said.

Only is a curious word to use. That's an increase of 25%-50% from where we are now, that's not minimal. In my experience quality control and miniature quality is down (which is a shame since we've had some really nice sculpts lately), customer service is slower (I know they moved a while ago), and variety of releases is down. This is where I'm coming from.

Hm. Interesting discussion. Well, my only gripe is that the Zeus X ZEU-X4 is on the line-up.

Honestly, do we "really" need another Zeus sculpt?  :P

NOTE: for this rant, I'm assuming the ZEU-9WD single blister sculpt is different from the one found in the Black Widow Company Lance, given that I own both and the picture for the single blister 20-998 on the IWM site doesn't look like the one I got in my Black Widow Company Lance 10-035 but rather looks like the Zeus with the detached fins that I purchased years ago. The BWCL Zeus miniature has smaller fins that are already attached to the arms.

So. The Zeus has FOUR sculpts commercially available on the Iron Wind online store, when you include the museum-scale version. FOUR! Three of which are the same scale as the one proposed for the 1st Quarter of 2015. And none of them are archived.

Additionally, the Zeus-X ZEU-9WD (20-998) and the Zeus from the Black Widow Company Lance (10-035) look extremely close to the Zeus X ZEU-X4 from the TRO 3145 Lyran Commonwealth on the proposed line-up for 2015.

I think it was a poor decision to skip another miniature that doesn't have one in the same chassis that could be proxied for one that already has three molds in the same scale.

I have a similar rant about the Stalker II with one mold in production and another available through the archive (20-383 & AR20-862), but at least the Stalker II STK-9A from TRO 3145 Free Worlds League looks different enough to maaaaaybe merit another sculpt. Ditto for the King Crab, but I don't make an issue about that one because I really like the new sculpt and plan to buy one.  O0

Okay, rant over. Thanks for including the Ostwar in the first quarter releases. Am looking forward to buying that one as well! :)
