Vap's Reinforcements
« on: 29 July 2017, 21:40:09 »
Finally got around to painting again.  Made up some snazzy reinforcements for the first company I painted.

A wolfhound with one of the original twelve.

The stalwart twelve being reinfoced, fine stand ins for a merc or Kuritan company.

I have another six mechs primed and ready to paint.  Additions to the other half of the now hard-to-find box set.
Bonus pick, a one off mech.

I really like the finish this technique of dipping minis gives.  Nice play of light.

looking sharp! I have a really similar scheme for my Kurita companies for a similar reason: they can stand in for a lot of different things, including mercs. Maybe when my decals arrive and I get them all sealed up and based I'll post some pics.

Thanks for comments. The Griffin needs to be decaled up.  And I need to be more thorough with my cleaning.  Im not gobbing the paint on them like I used to so that sloppiness is more apparent :/.
I think I am going to try dipping the minis after decals in the future.  Dipping before helps with applying decals because of the smooth surface I hear.  But I don't want to change the surface detail by adding a matte coat to the mini.

More reinfocements.  This time for their oponents!  A merc/Fwl unit.

A Guillotine next to one of the first twelve.

The original twelve + the first two Mechs I painted.

no bonus pic this time.  Have to finish up another one off first :/
