$75 for a one day badge but $90 for a 4day if you got it early.....something wrong with that.

Cause the 90 for the 4 day badge was purchasing it early enough to qualify for the 'early bird discount'.. The 75 one day badges are higher, cause generally they are sold on site/closer to the con, so no longer get those discounts..

This thread takes me back to the days when it was held in Kenosha, WI. I wonder if the swag is as good now as it was back then. :)

If you are going to be in town Wednesday, my day before GenCon game URBIE LORD will be at my firebase. Game Preserve Greenwood. You can Google the location. ;)

Nope. Swag has diminished quite a lot since it was up in Wisconsin..

Most of my IWM/CGL purchases are from GENCON. I can get me a shirt and wear it around where 1 out of a 100 know what i'm wearing.

Like every half hour or so from downtown... not counting traffic and construction zones.

I'm mildly annoyed that they moved the same year I discovered D&D, but, hey, at that point, nobody wanted to stay in Kenosha (my family moved in '88).

Wait...What? You mean Milwaukee? I don't ever recall it being held here in Kenosha. Maybe that was before my time? My first GenCon was back in the late 80's.

It was held at UW-Parkside from 1978-1984.
