ok heres my situration I am trying to restore a flashman and need a 375 xl enigine but the closest availbe endine avlibe acording to sorce books is a 380 xl can I use the 380 instead of the 375

You can use a larger engine, but this makes the mech a FrankenMech, as per SO p. 189.
