(Answered) Additional refit questions
« on: 14 June 2011, 02:07:43 »
A couple more questions....

1.  Is removing heat sinks from a vehicle the same level of refit as adding them?  This question relates to removing heat sinks to free up weight rather than to replace them with other equipment (directly.)

2.  If a refit results in a turret becoming heavier (replacing 20 tons of weapons with 25 tons of weapons for example would increase a turret from 2 tons to 2.5 tons) what level of refit would that be?

Thanks.

1. Assuming you are doing nothing apart from removing the heat sinks, Class C.  If you then used the weight to do something else, you need to look at what it is that you are doing to determine the Class.

2. Good catch.  For now I'm going to say that, as essentially a structural change, is Class E.
